I love fried rice, so I ordered the beef fried rice, but I was really disappointed with the quality of the meat. The beef was too chewy and lacked flavor. The boba milk tea was great, except the boba balls were too hard and chewy. I also ordered spicy sushi, but it wasn’t spicy at all. Is the fish named “spicy”, or is my spice tolerance just too high?
^thank you for the service and food! ⭐️

Pleasantly surprised at how good their food was! We were in town for the weekend and ended up going twice to W &Z it was that good! The thunder roll is the best! But every thing we had was perfect. Can’t wait until our next trip to Silver City! The only bad thing was the parking lot could really use some TLC, it’s extremely dark at night.

It is difficult for me to give 5 stars on restaurants because there is always something either missing or deficient, however when I visited the W&Z Asian Bistro and Sushi I was totally impressed. The food was phenomenally ideal and the Sushi was so good. I had my heart on another place and I was so hungry wanting Asian food but when I saw they were open on a Sunday I stopped and was not disappointed. The staff treated me so darn good. They were attentive and so considerate. The place was spotless and they greeted and treated everyone with such a VIP attitude. I will definitely go back there when I’m in Silver City, NM. I truly enjoyed Sushi and their Sushi was great, I started to get a crazy order to take home but I didn’t want to get spoiled all in one surprising day. My server was a wonderful female server but they all pitched in and took such good care of me and everyone else. It was the teamwork of a 5+ star Restaurant in a high end hotel. It is so hard to find good people who want to work these days especially in the service industry but the owner of this restaurant has a impeccable staff. I look forward to returning there after church sometime soon. If they see this I truly want to thank you for your Southern New Mexico Hospitality it was 2nd to none. I Salute you. That was the best deserved tip I was so happy to give. Now for the questionable issue, out of the whole experience the only issue i had was the bathroom was freezing cold that day and it was so cold in that bathroom. Nevertheless, it was clean and spotless the tiling on thw walls and floor were spotless and it was a very inviting atmosphere. I understand need to conserve on utilities in empty spaces but that bathroom was very cold. I cannot stress how clean that place was from the serving tablesto the bathroom, it was super clean, bright for the ambiance and ideal. That is still a positive that made me give this experience all 5 stars. The cleanliness out weighed the temperature issue.

Finally broke down and decided to try this place, as I had heard good things. Ordered the chicken skewers, seaweed salad, a side salad with ginger dressing, a large egg drop soup and (was supposed to be) sweet and sour chicken.
Tip included I spent a little over $40.00 which seems a little steep considering the sweet and sour has zero vegetables and mine didn’t even come with sauce. Also paid an extra $2 for the fried rice ( not worth it, go with white and save the money) The chicken itself was decent but not worth the price.
The egg drop soup I doctored with white pepper, green onion, and Kimlan soy sauce to help it out. Also used my own wonton chips as the ones I received were stale beyond belief.
The salads: seaweed salad was pretty good and a large portion. The side salad kinda lack luster in presentation and taste.
This is just my opinion and every restaurant has good and bad days. So give them a try and see what you think.

Update: I did return and tried the food. Overall, the food was better than the other 3 Asian restaurants in the area that I’ve tried.
I started with chicken hot & sour soup. The flavor was good, but served barely warm. The salmon skin roll was very good and highly recommend.
The Kung Pao Chicken was good, but lacked bold flavors. The last dish I had was chicken pineapple fried rice. I liked the flavors.
UPDATE… the recipe or the cook must have change because the Kung Pao was outstanding the last few times and the flavors are much bolder…. Highly recommend the Kung Pao!!!
The service was better, but still waited about 6 minutes for the waitress to come to the table.

I had a very disappointing experience today at lunch. Once I was seated, I sat for 15 minutes with no service, and when I tried to let the staff know, no one seemed to care.
I tried to explain why I was leaving to the lady that that originally seated me but she had a very bad attitude and walked away.
I talked to the manager, but she didn’t seem to really care very much.

It’s okay as Asian food restaurants go. Good selection but nothing surprising really. Prices are average-ish. Staff are attentive and friendly. Wait times are generally short. Location is good for a country town but the parking area looks and feels like you’re parking on a vacant lot. Still, if they spent a lot of money fixing that issue it might end up reflected in their prices so I am okay with it staying the way it is. Food quality? It’s pretty good but average as Asian food restaurants go. Selection is good. Three stars reflecting the restaurant’s averageness.

Recommend for asian food in Silver City- the whole meal was $19 veggie fried rice, 2 vegetable spring rolls, and the green salad with ginger dressing. Was able to place order over the phone and pick up in 10 min. The rice could have fed 3, the spring rolls were good, and the salad … well I had seen on previous reviews it was iceberg lettuce and cucumbers… mine was just iceberg lettuce so I was a little sad there were no cucumbers. Overall not bad, felt the price was a little steep but would return.

I ordered Shrimp Pad Thai. It was anything but Pad Thai. Some noodles with SQUASH, REALLY??? Squash??? Barely any taste to it. A complete waste of money. The guy who took my order was downright unpleasant but not hostile.
Will not ever be going back a d don’t recommend it at all.

tasty shrimp and they didn’t salt the fries! good, anyone else would dump a load on ’em.
edit: the fried rice serving (shrimp being my favorite) is large enough for me to have at least two good-sized meals, loads of shrimp, and tasty

Amazing to find sushi of this caliber so far from the West Coast. Being from Seattle originally, I wasn’t expecting much in small town New Mexico, but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and freshness of the sushi roll and eel. Also the house Saki was very good. Great flavor
