The most amazing ramen I’ve had in Portland! We got the #2 and the broth was insanely tasty, it had so much umami and flavor, the amount of pork was great and cooked/seared to perfection and the egg made it even more delicious. The thin noodles work so well with the dish too. The indoor dining area is super cute and cozy, as there are not a ton of tables, which is nice though. The staff is so nice and kind, we will definitely come back very soon!!

Had a great time at Wu-Ron’s! Ordered the spicy ramen and enjoyed every bite! Not too spicy for the average person but added great flair to an already excellent broth. And that doesn’t even cover the ingredients. Though ramen is a simple dish, Wu-Ron’s has turned that simplicity to an art form. The facade is a bit unassuming, but the interior is a delight. The size makes the restaurant give off a cozy feel. They don’t have a large staff, so food can take a bit to get to you but it is certainly worth the wait. Good for both individual diners as well as small groups.

Highly recommend this authentic ramen spot!
We tried the signature tonkatsu ramen and the spicy chicken ramen, and both were excellent. The tonkatsu came with thin noodles, while the spicy chicken had thick noodles, both types had that perfect, authentic texture. I honestly couldn’t choose a favorite, they were both so good! The tonkatsu broth was rich, creamy, and deeply savory which is classic and comforting. The spicy chicken broth was lighter, with just the right amount of heat and a touch of sweetness. I loved both and even added an extra portion of noodles! The chashu pork belly deserves a shoutout, it’s so tender, smoky, and melt-in-your-mouth good. I couldn’t stop thinking about how satisfying it would be to have a bowl of rice with it too!!! The broth came out piping hot, so if you’re planning to add noodles, I recommend ordering them early so the soup stays hot when they arrive. Service was great as well. The waitress remembered us when we returned the second time during our stay in Portland. Note: 18% gratuity is included in the check. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Portland!

I was recommended by a friend saying this is the go to spot for ramen. I got the nagahama tonkotsu ramen. We paid for extra meat in one bowl but it was totally worth it. The char su was so tender. It was sooo good I wanted to order some more to take home for later. I honestly think it was very affordable and so worth every $$$

****THIS PLACE GETS BUSY****

Wu-Ron’s gets super busy so the earlier you arrive the better. There’s an alright amount of seating. When you get there you put your name on a list outside and then wait for them to call your name. There is plenty of parking so that part isn’t an issue.

We started with an order of karage. It wasn’t crunchy, but the meat was flavorful and tender. I ordered the #3 with an extra side of noodles. This was my favorite broth that I’ve had so far. Broth so good it makes you rethink your life choices haha. My guess is the butter made it more rich and flavorful. The pork belly was tender and delicious. Only regret, not ordering an antijama (marinated egg) with it. My friend ordered the #5, It was bold, savory, and full of traditional flavor. I got to try her egg which is why I recommend getting one with your dish. The customer service was good, they’re attentive and kind. They also let you choose a sucker from a sucker tree when done.

When we first got there for dinner there was only about 6 of us waiting to be called in. When we left the lobby was busy with about 30, maybe 40, people waiting to get called in. That’s with the restaurant almost full too. It was wild and you’ve been warned! Haha.

I was influenced to visit this restaurant by TravelPortland on TikTok. And yes, it lives up to the hype. The tonkatsu ramen is exceptionally flavorful and rich bold broth. The pork belly is seared to perfection.

This place is good for a single person eating alone because they have a good amount of booth seating for singles. There are tables for groups too, but if you’re a single person who is nervous about eating out in your own, I would highly recommend Wu-Rons.

The only real downside to this place is the parking situation. There are very few parking spots at the restaurant. There is free street parking somewhat nearby but definitely requires a walk.

Got the Nagahama Tonkotsu. I don’t have a photo of the before- but you can tell it was good by the after. Great broth, not too oily, full of flavor. The portion size is much bigger than other ramen spots in Portland who charge the same prices. Tons of noodles and 5-6 cuts of pork in a bowl.

Absolutely fantastic Ramen shop! You can instantly tell from your first sip of the heavenly broth and your first bite of the chewy delicate noodles; that they pour the upmost skill, dedicated passion and instant love into every bowl.

We went to Wu-Rons for lunch this weekend. Ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen. It was delicious and hearty. The pork broth is creamy. It came to our table piping hot. Love the springy noodles. The thinly sliced pork belly was tasty and super tender.

The service was fantastic too. Fast and friendly. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Everything is super great except for the price of ramen. Pork should be cheaper than in Japan, so why is the ramen three times more expensive?

They have Free three Parking lots but you should parking on the street.(2h free)
