10/10 experience. We had 4 adults and 4 children (ages 1-12) for an early dinner. Meg C was the best waitress – she turned a to go soup container into a kids cup, made amazing food and drink recommendations, and stayed patient throughout the kids’ questions. The Phoquari is one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had (even as a non whisky lover). Go with a group to get bites of everything. We loved the carrots, brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, crab salad sliders, crab gnocchi, scallops, and filet. The kids demolished the chips and chicken sandwiches. Highly recommend.

“Full but unsatisfied” was our experience. I’m sure under other circumstances it could have been better but we had a lot of things that impacted out visit.

We did make reservations, for Sweetest Day, and were seated at the bar. Typically when we make reservations we get a table. The bar was not as comfortable when we expected a table experience.

The temperature in the restaurant this night was too high. We spent a lot of time needing to fan ourselves with the menu. There was a window right behind us that looked like it could have been opened but nobody seemed to acknowledge it wasntoo hot. Other customers avtually said “yea it’s hot in here”.

Our first drinks were great! Well done! Unfortunately it went downhill from here.

We often ran out of water. Being hot this was unpleasant and sitting at the bar this was rather confusing. You often get top notch service from the bar area.

We ordered all the sliders. The crab salad sliders were good…but maybe seemed overpriced for how much you got. The pork belly sliders were very good and priced more reasonable. The cold carrots were more spicy than flavorful…which I like but my wife does not.

We ordered a sage gin drink and it just tasted like a gin and tonic. No other flavors at all.

Needed to ask for the bill twice and then we then had to wait to pay which honestly is the part customers should not have to sot and wait for a long time. Our bartender dropped off the bill and then disappeared. We had to flag someone down to pay after waiting.

Overall not a great visit for us. The first two drinks were the best thing but not enough to offset the rest of our experience.

We shared the sweet potatoes and the chickpeas. Both were excellent. The chickpeas had a nice bite to them. I also had the vegan local mushroom dish. Amazing. Very hearty and flavorful. Very interesting. Good NA beer selection. We’d order all of this again.

Service was wonderful. Prompt, polite, well timed, upbeat. These are professionals.

The atmosphere was very nice. Great views out the second-story windows. The music wasn’t overwhelming. The seats were comfortable. And the decor was interesting and unique.

We had a great dinner here and hope to return soon. It was one of the best meals/dining experiences I had in 2025.

Beautiful room. Fantastic savory menu. Best service I’ve had in a while. Communicative host, attentive server, and the food was unique. A little tricky to find but maybe that’s a good thing. Just a bit noisy but otherwise a really nice place to get a light dinner in before an event in our beautiful city. Will check it out again.

We were passing through Detroit after leaving a taproom and stumbled upon Wright & Company in my Google search… what an incredible find! The space is gorgeous, with that perfect mix of historic charm and modern elegance.

Our server (I wish I remembered her name!) was amazing. I let her know my friend had a less common allergy but on the more serious side, and she came back with a fully chef-curated menu showing exactly which cocktails and dishes were safe. That level of care and attention was such a standout, truly some of the best service I’ve experienced.

Every dish we ordered was delicious, but the housemade potato chips and the crab gnocchi were the stars of the night. I also ordered the Phoquiri cocktail, and it might be one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. Maybe I’m biased as a Vietnamese person who ate pho most of her life, but it was brilliantly crafted by their bartender (who is also Vietnamese). Served in a soup-like bowl, you literally sip it as if it were pho broth.. creative, fun, and absolutely delicious!

What started as a quick, last minute dinner turned into one of the most memorable meals we’ve had with these friends. So glad we stumbled upon this place. I’d definitely come back to Detroit just for this experience.

I’d give it 4.5 stars if I could – the food was great and a perfect pre-theater spot – walking distance from the Opera House. Loved the vibe of the interior decor and the server was friendly, however, I felt it was generally over priced (5 small-ish pieces of ribeye for $38) and the wine list was lacking – only 2 choices for red wine?? I get that cocktails are the thing but not everyone is a cocktail person. Enjoyed the experience though and will probably go back next time we are downtown for a show!

Great food, first time in Detroit and I was impressed. Service was great, food wast tasty and well prepared, and the atmosphere (which was amazing) was probably the least impressive part. We tried half the menu and walked away bellies full with big smiles

Fairly pricey and upscale. The dishes create unique tastes that are fresh and very well prepared. The owner/chef is very engaged it making sure patrons have an excellent experience. The price, experience, and ambience not only meet the expectations of an upscale restaurant, Wright & company exceeds them while somehow conveying a blue collar, working class, yet upscale vibe.

November 2024 – came here before going to the Fox Theater with my wife. It’s a very nice restaurant. We sat at the bar but it took almost 35 minutes to get our last good order. The sliders are ok but the chips are really good. The drinks and the steak was really good. Worth heading here if you want a great drink. The bartender we had did an amazing job. Overall, we would come back again but with a small group.
