We were on our e-bikes, RVing from , so wanted to check out Texas City.
We found Wrice BBQ, loved the “garage converted to an eatery”, sat outside, chatted with the owner. Got the history of the town, enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich. Would highly recommend if you want a relaxed, outdoor meal. Washroom was super clean.

We really wanted some Barbecue & it being New Year’s Eve everybody was sold out, but Wrice in TC. So we tried it & wish we didn’t… Shorted us the brisket & sausage was so thinly sliced. Dirty rice was very nasty & beans had some kind of stringy meat in it. We will NOT be going back to this place on 6th street Texas City, Texas

You have to here early before they sell out of alot of items on the menu…the weekends here are awesome…I’m a Mexican and it’s a black owned and black crowd but I felt at home as we should here…we were like family dancing, eating, and having a good time…try anything here and I promise you’ll like it…if you go on a weekend make sure you stay for the music and fun..

1st time going to this place, 2PM on a Sunday. The man behind the counter was courteous and helpful suggesting a meal. He let me know they’re open till 5pm on Sundays. I went with the rib and brisket combo with Mac n cheese, potato salad for the sides and a can of soda. It also comes with BBQ sauce, a small side of pickles and 2 slices of bread. RIBS = AMAZING! . Moist and tender with the perfect amount of smoke and spice. Everything was good. Brisket was a little dry but tasted great. Mac was creamy and seasoned well. Potato salad was cool, crisp, fresh and tangy. BBQ sauce was just the right amount of sweet and spice, it’s got a little kick to it. Needless to say I’ll definitely be back for a rib plate. The bbq was excellent, service was great, quick and Mr. Wrice was on point to make sure I got my onions jalapeños and pickles on the side with my food. If you’re ever in texas city definintely make it a go to on your list.

I ordered this on Uber Eats to deliver in San Leon late. I’m talking after midnight. Not a lot was open so I gave it a shot. Never heard of it. T-Bone Toms, look out! I got the ribs, sausage and brisket and a link of boudin with potato salad. I hadn’t eaten all day. I was in pure heaven. Everything was on point and delicious. Of course I have leftovers. Thank you for a perfect meal and for being open late! We need these good choices! Delish!

Finally made it to this BBQ place.
I had a chopped beef sandwich. Generally not on my menu. This sandwich had enough meat piled on to make two. Good and chunky and not mushy like most. I also had their boudain link. Smoked and cooked just right, not too dry.
The atmosphere of being in the old fill’n station was an added bonus. The staff was very friendly.
Give this place a try.
