The food at the Wren was excellent, the service was very good, the atmosphere was nice for a Friday night. Perfect dinner spot for those going to Capital One Hall. The wagyu burger was delicious and the Japanese Fried Chicken bites are must tries. Parking is spacious and the first two hours are free. One thing to consider is the kitchen doesn’t serve food until 5:00, but the restaurant opens at 4:30. Reservations are important for priority seating, walk-ins are first come first serve as seating is available. I’d recommend for date night.

We came here to celebrate my husband’s birthday and had mixed feelings about our experience. The food was excellent, and everything we ordered was flavorful and well prepared. We also really appreciated the thoughtful birthday touches, including a signed birthday card at our table and an extra birthday dessert.

That said, both the food and desserts took much longer than expected to come out. Our waitress wasn’t rude, but she wasn’t very attentive, and we often felt overlooked throughout the night.

At this price point, we expected a higher level of service and smoother timing to match the quality of the food. While the food and birthday recognition were highlights, the service and delays impacted the overall experience.

The service, atmosphere, and food were all excellent. We came for Restaurant Week, and it did not disappoint! The Brussels sprouts, Tokyo chicken, and the pudding were the highlights of the night for me. The cauliflower tempura and wafu pasta, however, were a bit too oily for my taste. Overall, it was great!

The food, service, and atmosphere were wonderful! The soy garlic edamame was a delicious way to start the meal. We also got the brussel sprouts, tokyo chicken, cauliflower, wagyu burger, wafu pasta, mochi donuts, and date & fig sticky toffee pudding. I think we could have skipped the cauliflower though, it a was a little oily. Overall, a good experience and would recommend this place!

I celebrated my birthday dinner at the Wren at Tyson’s, and it was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was beautiful, elegant yet cozy — and the food was delicious from start to finish.

A special shoutout to our waiter, Nick, who made the evening even better with his friendly attitude, great recommendations, and attentive service. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and made my birthday feel extra special.

Overall, Wren is the perfect spot for a special occasion or just a great night out. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Great place for an after work drink and girls time with a sushi menu and main menu with a unique blend of flavors and spices. Also has a great view of the Tyson’s area.

Everything tasted good. The entrée portion was a bit small. I’d definitely make a reservation at peak times and weekends. The one time I went without one, they were full and there’s limited seating even at the bar.

I met up with my friends to have dinner at Wren. I wanted to try their Omakase experience but the dates did not work for me. The food is pretty good and you can tell that they are made high quality ingredients but the kitchen took a long time to get the dishes served. The burger came out before everything else. The shaved ice was ok but it also took a while to get it and it only has freeze dried fruit. I had a non alcoholic cocktail and it was good. The server is friendly but it took awhile to flag him down. In general, the service could have been more attentive and food should have been served in a more reasonable pace and time.

My wife and I have been loyal patrons of The Wren, often visiting once or twice a week. We’ve always loved the atmosphere, food, and warmth of the staff — it’s truly become one of our favorite places in the area. We even chose The Wren to celebrate a birthday earlier this year, which speaks to how special the restaurant is to us.
That’s why I’m writing with a heavy heart about a disappointing experience we had at the end of June. We called twice ahead of time to confirm that we could come in shortly before closing. Each time, we were reassured it wouldn’t be an issue and they informed us last call is at 10:45pm. However, when we arrived at 10:10pm, we were turned away at the door by the manager — a newer Hispanic gentleman — who informed us they had already closed.
We understand and respect the importance of operating hours, but what made the situation particularly frustrating was the lack of flexibility and the dismissive tone we encountered, especially after we had gone out of our way to confirm our timing beforehand. The interaction felt abrupt and unwelcoming — a sharp contrast to the experiences we’ve always had at The Wren in the past. This manager was cold, dismissive, and offered no courtesy or apology—just a firm refusal without any attempt to acknowledge the miscommunication or show basic professionalism. It felt as though we were spoken down to, not as regular guests, but as a nuisance.

We wanted to bring this to your attention not as a complaint for its own sake, but because we genuinely care about The Wren and hope to continue coming in regularly. One off night won’t erase months of wonderful experiences, but we do hope that consistency and communication among staff can help avoid similar situations in the future — especially for regular guests.

Ps: Aisha is our favorite waitress!!

Overall, food was great. Would have loved for some of the food to have a tad bit more seasoning (like the fried rice) BUT it was flavorful.

Great ambience/atmosphere and service was great as well.

Will absolutely go back.
