The food here was delicious. It was an outside dining situation, almost like concession or a food truck but branded all over with World Famous N’awlins that worked well in making it feel homely and authentic. I had the Red Beans & Rice and Okra Gumbo and both were so good. I almost licked the plate of the red beans. I have to come back and have some more of that on my next trip to the NO.

Man for the smell and the location I was really hoping for better.
It was an average week day morning.
We just had the shrimp and grits, by far the worst I’ve ever had and it was sadly my wife’s first time trying shrimp and grits. (We did get it without cheese) 4 small shrimp, and a small pile of sauce for a thick bowl of grits. $13-15 bucks.
This place was truly not living up to its name. Worst place we at in all of New Orleans.
The grits were bland, dry, grainy and basic, very little shrimp or sauce and were fishy tasting. Stale bread didn’t even eat it.
The place looks cool, I just hope the other food is better.
Server was ok, nothing to write home about.
I’d give them another try maybe with a more popular food option on a busy day kind of thing.
Saving grace, the mini store and seasonings were cool though, and the vibe is fun!

Way too expensive for a food stalls.

We ordered Gator burger. The person behind the counter told us they don’t have the burger buns, she asked if it was ok if they put it in a hoagie/roll. We ended up with a gator sausage, definitely no where near a gator burger patty. Very salty but tolerable, if you eat a lot of bread with it. And it was only half a sausage that sliced in half lengthwise to barely filled the roll.

Seafood gumbo – salty, so salty that it is beyond edible, imo.

Louisiana is supposed to be known for their Cajun/creole foods, unfortunately, this got to be the worse out of all the places we tried.

Gumbo was disgusting ended up throwing it away the lady at the register was so rude didn’t want to answer questions. Why be in a tourist area if you are not friendly. Atmosphere is good because it’s in the market area. So much better food around will never go back

The food was mediocre at best. The initial service started off well, but it declined once my husband and I had to approach multiple staff members to get the rest of our order. We actually received and finished the rest of our food before the X-Large BBQ Shrimp ever came out. It should not take 30 minutes to serve a dish that is simply boiled shrimp in sauce with three slices of bread.

The shrimp and grits were the most affordable in the best tasting I had in New Orleans. It was an unexpected little find, as we only stopped because our kids were whining about being hungry. I wish i had time to go back before we have to leave. Definitely good stuff.

I regret the fact that we stopped! The menu is intriguing, but the food was nasty and the potatoes were cold! Drinks expensive with $1 refills. I will never go back! I really wished I would’ve read the reviews before stopping. Check out the shrimp and grits with creole sauce (tomato sauce).

I’ve had better gumbo in Chicago. Enough said. Avoid. In the ten minutes of waiting, I saw the attendant picking his teeth with his hand and waste water flood out of the kitchen. The only thing going for it is its location in the French Market; hence its very existence.

Walking the market place I grabbed lunch here. Got shrimp po boy, and it thought it was good for a quick bite. Tables and chairs in front required self cleaning and bussing but that was fine, the proveded paper on request.
