Work and Class in Denver is one of the most highly rated in town for its southern comfort foods and Latin inspired dishes. The space has a very laid back homey feel. And the service is top notch…great attention and helpful. The food was outstanding…especially if you enjoy meat!

Cannot say enough!

The design and word play of this restaurant was very creative! Loved the background music, not too loud, real chill. The customer service was excellent, the manager Johnnie was great about trying to get our large group seated with another large group even though we didn’t have a reservation and the other group did. Our waiter was great too. Let’s talk food. The lamb was cooked to a perfect temperature but it was bland. I used the sauce from the roasted chicken dish to give it some flavor. The Mac & cheese was good, harissa veges were good it included beets and carrots which was unexpected. None of the food wowed us, but the ambiance and customer service made it a great experience. The portions of the side are meant to be shareable but for the price we expected a bit larger portion. Jalapeño cornbread was crisp on the outside and moist inside, enjoyed it the most.

Such a fun, lively spot. During happy hour, I had the chicken pot pie it’s warm, flavorful, and comforting. My friend ordered the chicken and waffles and really enjoyed her meal. One highlight was the “beer and shot Russian roulette.” I love the surprise aspect, and they picked a great beer for me with tequila as the shot. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was casual yet energetic. Perfect for a night out, and I’d love to return.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! I asked last minute to modify our reservation from four to six people, and the wonderful host did everything to make it happen. When we arrived, the entire staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our server, Matt, truly made our night with his warmth and attentiveness. The food itself was phenomenal. The new salmon is fire, and sides like the cornbread and chickpea croquettes are fantastic. I will absolutely be back and couldn’t recommend this spot more!

Great music on repeat, causal vibes. All proteins are perfectly cooked, well seasoned. I’ve had over half the menu now (only been twice) and I’ve never eaten something I didn’t love. The creamy greens and jalapeño corn biscuits are amazing. You just can’t go wrong coming here! Prices are on the high end (not necessarily for Denver) but 100% worth it for the food and experience.

Such a wonderful dinner – cannot wait to return. Our menu selections for a party of two were ALL next level. Beginning with a perfectly balanced Nitro Espresso Martini and a Paloma from the bar, our position at the Chef’s counter was like watching a perfect harmony. Chef Antonio and his team made a full house dinner service seem effortless. The chef slipped two chickpea croquettes over the counter, and they were incredible bites setting the scene for the ‘goodness’ to follow. ¼ Rotisserie chicken, Massive Attack Salad (Tempura Broccoli cooked perfectly), leeks and mashed side, caprese potato gnocchi and the chocolate lava cake – All 100% exceptional. The Lava Cake was delicious, however a slightly different take if you are expecting ‘Roy’s. Love the vibe of the restaurant, especially at peak dinner time – feels super alive and special (Recommend a reservation). From the moment the hostess handed us off to Spencer until our departure – we felt like VIPs. Spencer took exceptional care of us – thank you Spencer, Chef Antonio, and the entire Work & Class team for giving us a memorable experience during our stop in Denver.

A friend and I met here for dinner on Saturday evening. This was my second time here and the food did not disappoint. I will say that I was concerned about being able to get a table at 5:30 on a Saturday, however we were seated quickly. The parking around the restaurant can be a little challenging, but with a little luck you can find something in a reasonable distance.

We started with the massive attack salad, 10/10. Honestly one of the best salads I can remember having in a long time, the tempura broccoli is amazing! We also ordered the shrimp & corn grits, shrimp were a little small but the flavors were excellent 8.5/10. For entrees I got the achiote fried trout which I would give a 8/10. The fish was cooked great, very crispy and flavorful. I also got an order of the Colorado lamb, which was amazing 10/10. My friend ordered the hickory smoked picanha which was incredible 10/10, great smoky flavor and cooked perfectly. For sides we got the chickpea croquettes 9.5/10 defiantly work giving a try. We also sampled the aged cheddar chilie mac 8/10.

The server was very nice and friendly. I will say that the food took a very long time to come out. We were there for close to an hour and a half, which felt like too long. I would have liked to have tried a dessert but we didn’t have the time. Another small complaint I will make is the restaurant music was a little louder than I would have liked. I had a hard time carrying on a conversation with the person across from me.

Besides a few drawbacks, I would highly recommend this place. The food is exceptional and that is what matters most when you are dining out. I can only think of a handful of spots which have food as good as this place. I look forward to coming back and sampling more of the menu!

Small menu, big flavors. The roasted meats are the move — super tender with just the right char. Sides rotate and actually feel seasonal. Lively room, tight space, and food that shows up fast and hot. Casual but very dialed in.

Came for happy hour. The prices were great! We ordered the lamb burger and the pot pie. The pot pie was delicious, but the lamb burger was not for me. I was expecting a regular beef burger texture but it was more tough and not as crumbly. I’ll have to try their main menu next time.
