Delicious meat, great sides, and good desserts. Counter service restaurant that offers up quick food and service with a smile. That brisket is amazing. Also loved the jalapeño cheddar sausage. Daily special is available so be sure to ask. Cold bottled beer as well. Loved the friendly, laid back but super clean atmosphere.

It smells great walking in here, the food is great. Decent price, delicious potato salad! One of the better BBQ places I’ve been, they will even ask “moist, lean or in between” for those non fat lovers, or fat, if you prefer it! Recommend!

Just moved to Joplin and after unloading half our truck we decided to get some food. That’s when we came across woodys, I’m from NC and lived in TX so I’d like to think I know a bit about bbq. This place was horrible blank no flavor, coleslaw was just watered down mayo cabbage. My kids turkey tasted like boars head deli meat. In top of all that plus a hard day of moving I’ve been up all night vomiting what remains of those disgusting pulled pork nachos.

I got take out at the drive through window. It took a little while, but definitely worth the wait! Staff was friendly, helpful and they did an excellent job on my order. The smoked turkey is the best in the area!

When 1st seeing the building i tht, “hmm, lloks like a Rudy’s, in Tx. When i went inside i knew it was the exact same as the Rudy’s in Tx. The website doesnt say what ur the idea was brought to build, but im assuming it is a copy from Tx Rudy’s. I got my usual 1/2 slab and bbq beans and yellow pot salad. The 1st bite of both the ribs and the beans i knew i was eating Tx bbq. All were good and exactly like Rudy’s. I had the banana puddin and it too was the same. Im guessing that the owners worked for a Rudy’s and copied. But…so very glad to have some Tx bbq close to home because i will NEVER go back to Tx again. Tim the bbq traveler

Hi my name is Brayce. I worked here for just around 3 years and to be honest… this place rocks. I learned a lot of lessons about myself and about others and generally got a good sense of the workforce from this business (It was my first job during highschool and some time beyond) and it was generally an overall great experience. The food was always killer, always freshly smoked and cut right in front of the customer even all of the sides are made in house. Typically my favorite choice was either the loaded nacho or a turkey sandwich, you can never go wrong with either of those. All of the managers were awesome, had outstanding personalities, and great character. The owners were also always a joy to talk too. All of the upkeep was always maintained (clean bathrooms, clean tables, wonderful smell etc.) Even though I don’t work there anymore, they made a life long customer and my day is always made whenever I eat there. Much love to the Woodys team, you will always have a place in my heart.
