I was pleasantly surprised by this tiny restaurant! I ordered a chicken salad, expecting something small….and that was NOT the case! Tons of chicken and fresh cut fries on a bed of lettuce, covered with cheese (tomatoes and onions were hidden underneath). I also got the pretzel and beer cheese since I wasn’t expecting a huge salad. Also was more than I expected! Hot pretzel sticks (rods?) that were fantastic dipped in the cheese sauce! Leftovers were brought home! Reasonably priced as well!

Since the new ownership has taken over it isn’t as good. Prices are way too high for the amount of meat you get on the subs. They’ve added too many items to the menu, which are way over priced. Sometimes you get great service, other times you’re lucky if you even get acknowledged that you’re in the place. The only thing I get now is a garden salad. It’s the only item that is decently priced. I love the dressing, but if I knew how to make it myself, I would have no reason to go there.

I am currently hosting a bachelorette party this weekend. I ordered sandwiches from Woodys for pick up Saturday. Even with their hours stating closed, Scott and Deena went above and beyond to make sure I could pick up fresh sandwiches this morning! It was a huge hit. I will definitely be going to them for future party needs and when my husband and I want to eat out! Thank you Scott and Deena for helping make this weekend memorable

The atmosphere is set up to slightly resemble a shop on a beach boardwalk from what I see. Its beautiful. I am avidly usually against dining in, but this place is a place I would love to take my family inside to eat at. It smells wonderful and is superbly upkept. The staff are kind and make you feel very welcome.

Today I got my order for pickup because I am on shift at work, but I will for sure be back to enjoy the experince from the dine-in perspective.

It is for sure the BEST sandwich shop/feel-good food shop in Altoona.

The worst service and food I have ever received in my entire life. The new owners are not good for this business. Maybe they should stick to roofing….unless they suck at that too. Hoagie barely had any meat. Not to mention I found a small worm in my lettuce. The owner was ignorant when I brought this up to him.
