First time visit. My sister said these were the best Philly as she had them at another location before. Being that it just recently opened in this location, there was a long line and busy. The line went fast and the tables turned regularly. They also have outside seating. The inside seating is definitely limited to small groups of 2. Only a few table fit more than 2 people.
I got the Philly with mushrooms, a side of potato wedges and a water for ~$15.
The potatoes were really good and cooked all the way through. The Philly was probably a foot long and easily share with two people. Very delicious I will def go again.

Woody’s is lit

This will absolutely scratch that cheese steak itch! There’s nothing not to like about this Woody’s location. Everything about this establishment is on point. Based on reviews of their other locations, I just hope they keep the quality at the same level we experienced – kitchen was clean, service was fast, the employees were SUPER nice and good at their jobs, and most importantly, the cheesesteaks were outstanding. 10/10 will come again. And again.

When I got to the store, the entire staff were sitting in the front of the restaurants on their phones, and one lady who I thought was a homeless person was rubbing her leg legs.
I didn’t get her name, but she had a lot of face piercings

I walked over to the counter to order, and I was surprised to see that the person who was rubbing their legs on their phone, came around the counter to take my order. She kept scratching her face while she was taking my order, and so did the person who was making the sandwich, by the way, the person who was making the sandwich was sitting on the deli counter, when I walked in, I didn’t see anyone wash their hands.

When I went to pay, I pulled out cash, and no one said anything, she just kept pointing at the check out tablet and like motioning for me to see something, finally, she said “ we don’t take that” I just said “oh that’s fine, if y’all are cashless, I’ll just use my card”
She didn’t respond by saying anything. She just loaded up the screen again and motioned for me to swipe my card.

The sandwich was OK, the fries were kind of limped and undercooked. They’re wedges, so they’re already pretty soft naturally.

When we left, they didn’t say thank you or bye or anything, and then my wife got food poisoning from the sandwich.

I don’t think the ownership of this place knows how their the store is being run, and I’m shocked that they are running this location at the square this way, it’s a real downgrade of the property value in the area.

Both the chicken and regular Philly were great. Service was quick and friendly. Dining room and kitchen looked very clean. 1 fountain drink, 1 beer, side of wedges, and 2 sandwiches came out to $35 after tip, which I feel is a very reasonable price. Good lunch spot!

Cheesesteak did not disappoint, one of the best around the Atlanta area. Food was prepared fast and the taste was on point. Shy provided excellent customer service, give that lady a raise! I will definitely be back.

probably the best philly cheesesteak i’ve had in the atl area. it was so juicy and didn’t wait long at all for it. The customer service from favian at the cashier definitely made me want to come back he deserves a raise and so does isidro the cook for making the best philly. 10/10 recommend

I’m from Philly, so I’m pretty biased. Service and atmosphere was good. Its clean. But, I’ve had much better cheesesteaks. The roll was what I’d hoped. But, the meat was dry and flavorless. My first choice, to get a steak like home is The Philly Steak Spot in Hiram.

Probably more like 3.5 stars… Gave them 4 because I support businesses on the square and I’m glad we have a new food option.

Pricing is fair, so that’s nice!

Food was all right. Pretty light on the cheese, to be honest. I may try again and get something different.

Not clear where the line starts. I think they need some signage (unless I missed it completely).

Layout is tight, so you have people waiting in line, awkwardly breathing on you and your food, if you sit in one of the small booths.

We came on a Saturday around 1:15pm. They were out of straws and trash was overflowing, so I’m guessing they had a crazy lunch rush. (Straws were replenished by the time we left). Hopefully they stay busy and little things get adjusted here and there.

I could only eat half of my sandwich, and asked for a box so I could take the rest of my sandwich to go (I saw other people getting little plastic containers when taking theirs to go). Lady at the register looked at me like I had three heads. One of the cooks just gave me a piece of foil. Oh, well. I get costs are high, but come on, man.

I really like the physical location. I don’t get to Woody’s midtown very often so it’s very nice to have one on my side of town. Plus I like the layout. I love the square and this location is designed to fit right in. My only complaint is outside of Woody’s control. Parking is a pain during any kind of popular time. You’re either walking a country mile or paying for a space or both. The food itself came out VERY quickly. I watched the guy make my food as it’s a low top grill you can see even while seated. I know it was made fresh. I think it took about 6 minutes to make a cheese steak and loaded fries (wedges were already done; just needed to add the toppings).

I’ve been going to Woody’s Midtown location since they opened and I’m so happy they now have a Marietta location. Hands-down, some of the best cheesesteak you’ll ever eat. And with all you can drink Coke fountain. It’s the winner.
