I got the Philly with mushrooms, a side of potato wedges and a water for ~$15.
The potatoes were really good and cooked all the way through. The Philly was probably a foot long and easily share with two people. Very delicious I will def go again.
This will absolutely scratch that cheese steak itch! There’s nothing not to like about this Woody’s location. Everything about this establishment is on point. Based on reviews of their other locations, I just hope they keep the quality at the same level we experienced – kitchen was clean, service was fast, the employees were SUPER nice and good at their jobs, and most importantly, the cheesesteaks were outstanding. 10/10 will come again. And again.
I didn’t get her name, but she had a lot of face piercings
I walked over to the counter to order, and I was surprised to see that the person who was rubbing their legs on their phone, came around the counter to take my order. She kept scratching her face while she was taking my order, and so did the person who was making the sandwich, by the way, the person who was making the sandwich was sitting on the deli counter, when I walked in, I didn’t see anyone wash their hands.
When I went to pay, I pulled out cash, and no one said anything, she just kept pointing at the check out tablet and like motioning for me to see something, finally, she said “ we don’t take that” I just said “oh that’s fine, if y’all are cashless, I’ll just use my card”
She didn’t respond by saying anything. She just loaded up the screen again and motioned for me to swipe my card.
The sandwich was OK, the fries were kind of limped and undercooked. They’re wedges, so they’re already pretty soft naturally.
When we left, they didn’t say thank you or bye or anything, and then my wife got food poisoning from the sandwich.
I don’t think the ownership of this place knows how their the store is being run, and I’m shocked that they are running this location at the square this way, it’s a real downgrade of the property value in the area.
Pricing is fair, so that’s nice!
Food was all right. Pretty light on the cheese, to be honest. I may try again and get something different.
Not clear where the line starts. I think they need some signage (unless I missed it completely).
Layout is tight, so you have people waiting in line, awkwardly breathing on you and your food, if you sit in one of the small booths.
We came on a Saturday around 1:15pm. They were out of straws and trash was overflowing, so I’m guessing they had a crazy lunch rush. (Straws were replenished by the time we left). Hopefully they stay busy and little things get adjusted here and there.
I could only eat half of my sandwich, and asked for a box so I could take the rest of my sandwich to go (I saw other people getting little plastic containers when taking theirs to go). Lady at the register looked at me like I had three heads. One of the cooks just gave me a piece of foil. Oh, well. I get costs are high, but come on, man.
