An amazing stop, hands down. Got here before the place was open and there was already a small line forming, so come expecting a crowd. Customer service was friendly and helpful to newcomers.
The whiting fish is nice and butter with an almost catfish-like breading, and was perfectly seasoned.
While the mash and gravy wasn’t anything to write home about, they were a great “side dish”
Collards were amazing and the ribs were FALLING OFF OF THE BONE. The sauce felt like more of an afterthought, with the flavor leaning on a bold yet subtle sweetness. Almost as if it were brushed on at the tail end of the cooking process, BUT, that did not take away from the tenderness of those ribs. If your near 95, I recommend a stop here. I’ll be back.

Wow, what a surprising treat this was! Our company got catering from here for our Thanksgiving holiday luncheon. Everything was absolutely delicious. If my husband and I have are ever in the area we will stop by and actually dine in.

My wife and I always enjoy Woodstone. Very typically, we go on Friday nights. The buffet is always hot and well stocked. Among our favorites are the chicken bog, the fish fry and the mashed potatoes and gravy.
My single favorite are the fried scallops. They are delicious! My wife favors the desserts. They’ve got an excellent banana cream pie pudding and pecan pie.
The restaurant is always incredibly clean and all of the staff there are extremely friendly. It’s good home cooking with a huge variety. Not to be missed!

I’m sharing my review not just for the food they offer but for the extraordinary service that employees provide for the customers. Last Saturday we ate here. I wrapped my retainers in a tissue paper while we were eating…and completely forgot about them. I only realized what I’d done when we got home. So we rushed back to the restaurant, ready to dig through the trash like it’s a treasure hunt. Since we’re not allowed to get into the kitchen, the staffs helped us and found my retainers. They went through the trash for me—something that’s definitely not part of their job. I was so touched. Their kindness went way beyond what anyone could expect, and I truly admire them for it. Bless their hearts ❤️ We will definitely go back and eat here again. They have a lot of food to choose from and they’re all good ☺️

The food at this establishment is good. However, it is not consistently so. We have come in the evenings on Friday and Saturday nights and had good Fish, chicken or ribs. And other nights it’s barely edible. Somethings are consistently bad, like the biscuits. They sort of resemble small white hockey pucks instead of nice high, fluffy, southern biscuits. Over the last couple of months, I feel the salad portion of the bar has been scaled back to accommodate more carb options, which they definitely don’t need more of. We went for the Sunday brunch today and the first pan of macaroni and cheese which my daughter got was excellent, and 15 minutes later, when a new pan was placed, I grabbed some and the noodles were so over cooked, It was like weird greasy congealed cheese mush. The devil crabs today were pickled flavored stuffing in a crab shell without any actual crab meat. The fried pork chops are always wonderful and the nondescript fried fish was fairly good as well. The hush puppies were stone cold, which maybe that’s just a regional thing, but I’m used to them being served hot.
I’ve just come to feel that the value for the cost is no longer there. Maybe they’re simply busy with catering orders for parties because it’s the Christmas season but it was seriously lacking on this trip.

I have to give this place five stars for everything, but the last time we were there they added a 4.50 tip to the bill without asking and I don’t think this is ethical! We won’t be going back for this reason! I was very surprised that they would do that! All other places we eat always ask if we would like to add a tip! Sorry Woodstone, this isn’t a good practice!

We stumbled upon this place off the BBQ TRAIL MAP at the welcome center and let me tell you that it was well worth getting off 95 south. Its not too far from the highway. The food was phenomenal and the peacb cobbler was the perfect happy ending. We decided to do the take out which on Sundays you are able to fill your container for $9.99 per lb. Oh and the ribs are so tender they fall off the bone. The staff was friendly, helpful and the place is immaculately clean. IT’S A MUST TO TRY!

Comfortable little buffet. Super fresh food. Very good. I haven’t had cabbage, chicken and dumplings, and sweet potatoes that good in a long time.

I enjoyed our family dinner here this evening. While visiting family in Florence, they treated me to a buffet dinner. Woodstone’s provided southern hospitality and delicious buffet options. This place is very popular, so you’ll want to arrive early. I enjoyed the options here. There are a lot of southern classics and seafood on the menu. My favorite items tonight were: the fried squash, stuffed yellow crab, Lima beans, fried whiting and frog legs. Yes. I said it. Frog. Legs. I also had potato salad but the potatoes were undercooked unfortunately. Dessert options were very few. I went with the strawberry short cake and peach cobbler. Too sweet and not very tasty.
Make this your lunch or dinner stop while in Florence.
