I had a fantastic dining experience at The Woods Restaurant! The staff were friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The food was absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned, so I didn’t need to add any extra salt or seasoning.
We enjoyed a beautifully cooked steak with crispy fries, a perfectly balanced fish dish with delicate flavors, and a delightful dessert that was both visually stunning and delicious. And the highlight of the evening? Their have a Hungarian dessert wine – Tokaji Édes Szomorodni – truly the non plus ultra!
A wonderful place with great ambiance, excellent service, and outstanding flavors. Highly recommend!

The best restaurants in central Bath! Perfect atmosphere, food and service. Cook to perfection and definitely value of money compare to any Michelin star restaurant with even better quality! Main course, dessert, coffee etc all-around great Over 40 years history for reasons. Definitely will come back again and again!

Great restaurant, the atmosphere is excellent and the staff are attentive and welcoming. The food was top notch, I had the duck and the other halve had hake, perfection. My only criticism and even though they were cooked well, is that the boiled potatoes and broccoli were slightly disappointing. I would highly recommend woods to friends/family.

Well, what a restaurant. I would implore you to visit. The food is fabulous. More importantly the service is wonderful. We came for lunch and spent nearly 2 hours talking to the owners and staff ans more importantly tasting lovely food. At £35 for 3 courses, an absolute steal.

Walked in on a Saturday and got a table for 2. Staff were excellent, service was quick, food was tasty, portions were just right – everything a really good restaurant should be. It was authentic with a good menu choice. Prices were reasonable – £100 for 2 courses with alcohol and coffee. Well done Woods

Even though I only had a starter, I have to give a 5 star to this restaurant!! I planned my trip in Bath and reserved this spot far ahead. However, I fell sick right on the day and had little appetite. The restaurant was really understanding and they made me feel welcomed regardless. Was sad that their fish soup was out but their tomato soup was also delicious and made me feel better. There is also complimentary bread and butter. Don’t know if I will be back in Bath in the future, but if I do, I will definitely give them another try.

The service the place, kind of Modern French style cuisine looking dishes that tastes very good & lovey champagne … It’s all you need for lunch or small brunch with friends or family … also a perfect place for couples to go dining … Love it !

Booked in the week and lucky enough to get a table for Friday night. Greeted warmly upon arrival.
I felt that there was a good choice on the menu. Provencale fish soup and grilled aubergine to start followed by the mushroom linguine and duck cooked pink.
Superb presentation, vegetables included with main courses and bread on the table.
A really good selection of wines and we can highly recommend the red from Puglia.
The restaurant was cosy with a horse racing theme. This is a family run restaurant and customers appear to be treated as an extension to it.
A must visit establishment and one that we will visit again with friends or family.
The most unpretentious place we’ve ever been to. Loved it!!
