If you live anywhere south of Garnett or north of Coffeyville along 169, or within 100 miles of this place, you should not get barbecue anywhere else. I pulled into this place on Thursday afternoon to see if a 25 dollar slab of ribs was a real thing, and not only was it real, but it was probably the best slab of ribs I have ever had. I am not a barbecue sauce person, so I was pleased when the owner handed me a cup of what he called Woods Grilling Glaze. I can tell you it has honey in it, but it’s a thinner sauce and out of this world. Not too sweet, but just sweet enough. Driving time has no relevance to this review. No matter how long the trip, it’s worth it. If you add the cost of a full tank of gas to the price of these ribs, it’s still a good deal. They are that good. My friend got the brisket Mac with a scoop of beans on top which looked amazing but after I ate a whole slab in Pete’s parking lot, I couldn’t eat another bite. It was so much he could not finish the whole thing. I did try their ghost pepper barbecue sauce just for the sake of this review. It was really good, but I’d like more heat, less sweet! Honestly, while I was stuffed I probably could have smashed another whole slab if it was a contest!
I can’t wait to get by this place again. Owner was the nicest guy. He even gave me a rib to try while he made our order. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area. Or even if you ain’t in the area, walk it out if you gotta.

I live in Wichita and stay in Chanute occasionally on business. I have read the great reviews about Woods Barbecue, but I’ve never had the chance to stop by. I did tonight, and just as most of the reviews said, the service was amazing (really nice people! ) and the food was top notch! Tried the four meat sampler with double brisket, jalapeño cheddar hot links and ribs with coleslaw and pit beans! 10/10 highly recommend!

Brisket was great. Blows anything in the area out the water. Ribs were great. Mac and pulled pork were middle of the road. Sauce was heavy molasses based which isn’t my favorite but imagine it goes great on a sandwich. I don’t leave alot of 5 stars but honestly its earned its hard to find good brisket like this anywhere. Would highly reccomened

Great food, good prices, and very nice people! I will definitely eat at this place every time I’m in town. If you’re from out of town it’s definitely worth a drive!

I got the brisket with barbecue sauce on the side, as well as sides of Cole slaw and beans. The brisket was fall-apart tender and great on its own, but I also have to give the sauce extra praise. Their BBQ sauce is on the runny side (I guess that means that it penetrates the meat easier), but the flavor is fantastic: A great balance of sweet, tangy and spicy.

I also can’t recommend the cole slaw enough. It’s the creamy style of coleslaw that I remember as a kid, but with a little bit of zing that makes it even more interesting and elevates it above many others I’ve tried.

The beans, well, they seemed pretty “usual.” Classic brown sugar sweetness, a little savoriness, but on their own not entirely distinctive. Don’t get me wrong, the beans were good, just not particularly exceptional. Next time I think I’m going to try the smoked Mac and cheese.

Overall though, the staff seemed friendly and eager to please. Can’t say much about the atmosphere, there isn’t really much of an atmosphere — it’s a food truck. But as everything else was good, I’m going give it the same rating.

Some of the best ribs I’ve ever had in my life. This is a ways from home for me but I would make the drive just to get another rack. Great price. You can’t beat 25 a rack
