I have been going here for close to 40 years, since I was a teenager. The baked goods are impeccable. The staff are super friendly. Yesterday, my wife and I purchased some dinner rolls (out of this world) and a chocolate cake (to die for–wow–pic included). This place never changes. Very kind employees, very poor tasting pastries. Got about 5 different types of cookies and 1/5 tasted pretty good. The rest tasted stale and just like sugar. Also got a pie and it tasted like maybe they use red delicious or something and not Granny Smiths. Very soft almost disintegrating apple texture, no crispness, and again a mild flavor that tastes like nothing. The crust was good though! So- very kind (but maybe new because she didn’t know what anything was called or the flavors) and very poor tasting pastries. They were pretty though!

I ordered a graduation cake for my son online on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 for a pick up date of June 4, 2021 by 12:00 pm. I called the store on Thursday, June 3, 2021, to confirm my order was received and the young lady I spoke with checked emails and confirmed receipt. On Friday, June 4, 2021, I arrived at the store around 1:10 pm to pick up the cake. When an associate finally was able to assist me, she checked the back in the kitchen for the cake. At one point, she said they were having issues/trouble locating the cake. She also asked me for my last name, wrote it down and went back to the kitchen. Then, she said the manager would be out shortly to speak with me to talk to me about what could be done. The manager came to speak to me and was looking on his phone for my email order. He found it, went to the back, and then returned to me and said they would need about 20 minutes to finish the cake. They could not locate the cake nor did they have a ticket for it, but now they needed 20 minutes to finish it. I told him I could not wait another 20 minutes because I had to get home to get ready for my son’s graduation and my son had to be at school early. I said I would have to come back after the graduation to pick it up. This was such an inconvenience because we had plans after the graduation ceremony and had to delay our plans to pick up the cake. In addition, I did not receive an explanation of what actually happened nor an apology.

I picked up a delicious apple pie that was as delicious as my mother made when I was a kid! The crust was flaky, the apples were cooked perfectly! I would definitely recommend stopping by for some homemade delicious treats for the family!
