Pork chop was decent, server decent. Loved the soup du jour. they have a nice selection of wine. The atmosphere is what makes this place great. Nice lighting, music, and decor.

Very rustic dining experience, has Buffalo cuts which were leaner than beef but with plenty of flavor. I had the French dip sandwich with the Rosemary fries and they accommodated my request for more horseradish. The sandwich was delicious and the au jus dip was perfect. I haven’t had such a good sandwich for 20 bucks before.

I ordered the Delmonico 18 oz steak and a side of brocolini, the wife ordered the Steak Oscar. My steak was cooked correctly to medium rare and was a good steak, not great, but good. We chose this place because it was not “a la carte” according to the online menu on their website, but it IS a la carte, the waiter admitted that the menu was old, I feel I should have got the brocolini on the house because of that but I wasn’t going to let that ruin a $180 meal. I give this place two stars because it’s very spendy, has a misleading online menu, and because another waiter other than mine was training a bus boy right in front of us, explaining how to treat guests all the while creating disturbing light effects because they were standing between the shades and our table, it was very annoying! Oh, and the wife didn’t like her Steak Oscar, she said it was bland and the sauce tasted sour to her. Next time we’ll definitely hit up Salish Lodge instead.

Went here for my birthday, had the buffalo steak and my date had local grilled fish. Both meals were amazing. Recently I’ve had brunch here as well, pretty tasty ! Staff and waiters are professional and courteous. The atmosphere is like no other, locals as well as out of town guests will enjoy it. I made reservations for my birthday, as well as for brunch, probably could have just walked in though. All in all, this place is definitely a favorite of mine.

Seriously the BEST Negroni I have ever had. These bartenders are masters. I am sad they are closed on Mondays though.

In town on business and Woodman Lodge was recommended by a local. Building itself is really cool along with decor. Solid menu with a variety of choices: Salads, Soups, Steaks, Chops, Seafood, Sandwiches – Beef, Pork, Bison, etc…Good bar service including local beers on tap and man sized cocktails ( did not try wine but menu looked fine). We dined here on two consecutive evenings which says something.

Grilled Salads (Garden and Caesar) were excellent starters, followed by ribs one night and a fillet on the second night. Everything was cooked to order and tasty. Side dishes also spot on. Desserts of carrot cake and cheesecake hit the mark. Good service and friendly staff.

I’d certainly dine here again – cool venue, good food, good service

Awesome meal, service and atmosphere. Came here with a family of 12 for a pre-Thanksgiving meal and were blown away. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Really loved this place, couldn’t recommend it enough. We tried it all too: Clams, tips, Elk, Pork Chop, steaks, burger and more. Treated kids great…..really an awesome meal and experience. Almost better than our Turkey Day itself (almost)

It was freezing cold inside. On the coldest night of the year they did not have their massive stove fireplace lit. They also lack the necessary curtain surrounding the front door so Everytime it open the whole restaurant is frozen with the draft. This really distracted from the otherwise 4 star evening. The food was great, though quickly chilled with the air temp. I loved the taxidermy decor and the staff were friendly and attentive. They had no problem with us moving mid-meal to try to find a warmer spot. Highly recommend the elk tartare, it was delicious. The signature steak was also exceptional, the Cowboy. Good wine list as well. TURN UP THE HEAT, light that awesome stove and gain/retain your star ranking.
