I used Woodlea Bakery on a whim after other plans fell through last minute. They were able to create a custom cake for my husband’s 50th birthday party with 48 hours’ notice and the owner was very accommodating. The cake turned out even better than I expected! Everyone raved over the design and the cake was moist and delicious – 10/10 perfect. I’m so glad I found Woodlea Bakery and will definitely use them for future parties!

I ordered a cake for a birthday party and no one would take more than one bite. Everyone said the icing which was supposed to be butter cream tasted off and was unlike any other butter cream icing we’ve had. It had a strange texture and left an odd taste in our mouths that lingered persistently. The cake itself was okay although it was rather dry. It’s a shame the cake was so bad because the employees were friendly and I was excited to support a local bakery.

We called about a week in advance and ordered Christmas shaped gingerbread cookies. When we arrived, they gave us turkey shaped cookies. However, instead of apologizing they tried to gaslight us and tell us that we’re the ones who screwed up and ordered thanksgiving cookies. The problem (for them) was that the order sheet, that they printed, was attached to the boxes. It clearly said Christmas shaped cookies. We pointed this out and they got really angry.
Reluctantly, they exchanged the cookie for Christmas shaped sugar cookies. However, the bags they gave us very plainly contained broken cookies. When we pointed this out they once again become angry and refused to give us unbroken cookies.
Overall it was a very bad experience and we’re never coming back. I know there are a lot of reviews on here about great workers, so clearly we caught someone on a bad day. Still, there is no excuse for sending a customer away with broken cookies and being angry at the customer when the bakery screwed up.

We used Woodlea Bakery for our wedding cake and WOW! It turned out so beautiful even with us requesting no fondant and no dyes. The frosting was delicious and not too sweet. The cake itself was very moist and flavorful without being overpowering. Highly recommend!

Everything I have ever tried from here is fantastic. My personal favorites are the pound cake and donuts, their chocolate is SO good on the donuts (on the pound cake, too!)
I ordered two birthday cakes and a smash cake recently and they were perfect and tasted great! They took my order and contacted me about specifics with the cake that was more involved. The man who called me was pleasant, very helpful and knowledgeable.
I can’t wait to keep trying more and I will definitely not hesitate to order cakes here again.

Woodlea Bakery of Bel Air made our wedding cake and we were very pleased! They sat down with us to review options and were easy to communicate with during the wedding planning process. Everyone at the bakery was polite and happy to help us. Our wedding cake was beautiful and delicious! We received numerous compliments on both the cake’s appearance and taste. Woodlea also provided a variety of mini pastries that our guests enjoyed. I recommend Woodlea!
