Make no mistake. This is a bar first and restaurant second. I had a bbq burger that was ok made better by a brioche bun. The fries and cole slaw were decent. This is not a place to bring children. The bar has its regular customers and the language can get a little salty. A couple of the meals that went by looked quite interesting so I will go back again.

My first time there. Great freakin’ cheeseburger. 1/2 pound angus. Fries were perfect. I devoured it all. My wife had handmade chicken tenders, I tried one, it was also excellent. There were 4 of us and no disappointments. Great prices too, you get way more than what you pay for. The owner Lisa is friendly and personable. Everyone agreed they’ll be back.

Pleasantly surprised on how good the food is. Went primarily to listen to Blue Grass music they have once a month. Our party of 12 ended up eating there and every appetizer and meal was well worth the money. Great find!

I had my buddy’s bachelor party here in July 2015. It was a great success with the wonderful help from Lisa. We did a steak fry which was a great choice. The food and drink was fantastic and reasonably priced. Overall great time great place.

The food was sooo good worth the drive threw the woods. Steak was amazing! My fiance enjoyed the fish & chips but couldn’t keep his hands out of my plate, lol. The steak was huge so we both ate and had left overs. The mac and cheese was delish

Love this place. The food is really good and Lisa, the owner, is always so friendly and helpful. Met up w a few friends yesterday and the kids ran around for hours outside while we got to eat and drink and even sit by a fire.

Witnessed a very tired place lacking in most expected areas of a well run restaurant business, except the food quality, when we stopped in on a Sunday night. First impression is God awful. Two entrances to choose from the parking lot. Left door looked to be the main entrance but was locked so we tried the other door. That door looked like it was maintain by the 3 stooges.
Open the door and the hung heads over bar turn to wonder who the heck is breaking into our gloomy world.
Waitress was very sweet and the cook and bartender aim to please, BUT thhis place needs lots of elbow grease to clean what looks like decades of neglect. Outside of the delicious home style cooking, another saving grace is occasional super casual acoustic music jams that I hear are frequented by regulars who bring much needed cash to keep this shoestring operation from letting mother nature reclaim her maple glen.

So delicious and quaint and amazing prices (especially coming from Boston!). Feels like a hidden gem, and I hope more folks in Foster and surrounding towns take advantage of this lovely spot.

On October 18 I helped to run a benifit at the Woodland Meeting House. I chose this place because of the beautiful setting. We were able to use the whole building including the function room and bar room. The park like grounds are complete with picnic tables, firepit, horseshoes, and woods and fields. We were able to have live music in and outside. I would like to express my gratitude to the owner, Lisa Mills for her generosity and help. The Woodland Meeting House has a lengthy history as it was built in 1875. Lisa works hard and has turned this beautifull place nestled in the woods of Foster a perfect setting. I also must say that the two lovely bartenders, Michelle and Jess were great. Thanks so much. I am looking forward to heading back on Nov. 2nd for the Blue Grass Jam which takes place there the first sunday of every month.
