Reviews
The burger and ingredients were fresh and tasty. The applewood bacon was fresh cooked, the bun was great, and the patty was juicy and quite tasty. The fries were fresh cooked and nicely seasoned.
Lots of good stuff inside like a game room, football on tvs, and a full bar.
Staff are great. I’ll absolutely come back next time I’m in Starke.
(hamburgers/cheese pizza/ wings)
The atmosphere was fine, not too noisy, plenty of TVs with different shows. (Friday 7pm)
The service is where this one falls short! The ording is done as you walk in not table side. You can order with a person or on a kiosk. We chose the kiosk because I knew it was going to be a lot with custom choices. We got 2 hamburgers combos, 1 personal cheese pizza, 10 wings, 4 drinks and 2 ranch dips. EVERYTHING was an unchanged, pickles, lettuce, BBQ sauce, you name it, it charged. $59 not too bad.
Then you pick a seat, and wait and wait and wait, 1 of 4 items come out then you wait some more. We had to ask for our cups and wait some more. My teens wings did not come out till most everyone else was done. This maybe a take out/to go restaurant or order the same thing so you all get it at the same time.
I chose to sit at the bar and dine there. The food was serviceable but unremarkable, aligning with what one might anticipate from a venue where food does not appear to be the primary draw. There was nothing overtly wrong with the meal, but nothing that stood out either.
The strongest element of the visit was the service. The bartender was genuinely pleasant, attentive, and professional. That said, it was disappointing to learn that tips are cash-only. In an era where nearly all patrons rely on cards, the inability to tip on a credit card bill is a meaningful operational flaw—one that directly disadvantages staff and creates an awkward experience for customers who want to tip appropriately but are unable to do so.
In summary, Woodland Burgers & Wings offers an eclectic, casual environment with acceptable food and commendable staff. However, the mismatch between atmosphere and dining expectations, combined with outdated payment practices for tipping, limits its overall appeal. With some operational modernization, particularly around gratuities, the experience could improve significantly.
Been back several times. Each time a great experience. Family enjoyed themselves too!
