Tried the watermelon sundae for a cocktail and it was delicious but a little spicy. The pizza is a must order! We got the pesto bacon pizza and the bread to start. The two sauces that came with the bread were delicious it was like a chive oil and a sun-dried tomato butter I believe. My favorite entree was the beet pasta which I think is better shared so that you can share another entree that has a little more protein. The only thing the beet pasta needed for me was protein but since i shared the fancy burger it was perfect. The fancy burger was delicious and the sauce paired with it added to the burger.

Immediately through the door Wooden City has a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. We were seated promptly and within minutes had drinks at our table. After a round of small plates and relaxed conversation, we ordered our main courses. I had the spicy lamb ravioli, which was awesome! My wife loved her burger. At the end, a slice of pumpkin cheesecake finished the meal perfectly. The atmosphere, service, drinks, and food were all amazing! I highly recommend Wooden City and intend on returning!

Hey! I came to visit from out of town. The restaurant we beautiful hard a great ambience. If you have a Tree Nut allergy Beware. The fryer is crossed Contaminated, and a majority of their dishes contain nuts. I had the lamb rigatoni pasta and was not a fan of it. My pasta was done al dente and I did not enjoy my dish. thankfully, my server recognize that and was able to bring me An alternative dish, which was a Caesar salad. I would’ve given this place a 7/10. Was not a fan of the holiday drinks.

My friend invited me out to dinner on a Thursday right! She chose this place and said it’s one of her favorites in the city. The restaurant is beautiful. Nice design and layout. Not too big not too small. The service was amazing. The server literally checked on us periodically and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was flavorful and just outright fantastic. Chefs Kiss. I wanted to kiss the chef after I tried the cauliflower side dish! I had a burger and cauliflower. We had the wings so crispy and delicious. We also had the bread and butter. Definitely will be returning!

Wooden City knocked it out of the park for our first, but certainly not last dinner there. I booked on line and noted that we would be celebrating our anniversary. They had reserved us a spot by the window with a “Happy Anniversary” card. They also provided complimentary champagne.
Jessica, our server, was extraordinarily friendly and responsive. She was the best server we have had in a very long time.
The restaurant has only been open a few months, but it delivers a lot in atmosphere. The food and drinks were excellent as well. We started with the house-made focaccia bread with sun-dried tomato butter, which was amazing. I had the seared scallops and my husband had the chicken schnitzel; both were delicious. Additionally, the Bramble cocktail was wonderful. We will definitely be back!

Visiting from Florida and have to say this is my favorite restaurants by far. The pizzas are amazing! As an appetizer we had the lobster dumplings which were exceptional. Please keep in mind this dish by itself I was told is not always available. For drinks I tried the Happy Days cocktail, but was not a fan and got an Old Fashion instead which by the way was one of the best draft old fashions I have tasted. Definitely will be back and making a stop here any time I’m visiting. Definitely a must stop.

Phenomenal experience; will definitely be back! The cocktails, pasta, and pizza all exceeded expectations… and at a very reasonable price point too. Next time, I want to try more items from the menu (like one of the burgers), but I don’t think I can resist getting the lamb rigatoni again… seriously, it’s THAT good.

Food speaks for itself. Had the steak with lobster medallions/wontons. Was delicious and cooked to order (rare).
Caesar salad had some of the best courteous I’ve ever had on a salad. Dressing was great too.
Didn’t realize this place had a sister restaurant in the PNW! Pretty cool, I’ve been there!
Give wooden city a try and you won’t be disappointed. There’s a reason other restaurants are closing or relocating in the area.. these guys know what they are doing and it’s hard to compete with.

I really liked it overall; it’s a good place. The staff is excellent, and most of the food was good. Just don’t order the New York Strip; it’s very expensive for the size and literally only comes with one side. The pizza is delicious.

Best restaurant in Birmingham. We went last night and ordered numerous alcoholic drinks (which were all SO good and strong), appetizers, entrees, and desserts. We got the Hungarian peppers, bone marrow, salmon toast, chicken schnitzel, seared scallops, surf and turf, veggie pizza, cheesecake, and apple crisp. All absolutely 10/10. Our server was also extremely attentive and nice. Will definitely be back!
