I had a good experience dining at Woodshop Social! The salmon dish I ordered was beautifully prepared a generous portion of shrimp and mussels layered over creamy grits and broccolini. The sauce was light but flavorful, though it could’ve used just a touch more seasoning to really elevate it. Still, everything came together nicely and tasted fresh.

Even though the restaurant was super busy, the staff remained very attentive and friendly. Service didn’t skip a beat, and everyone I interacted with was helpful and welcoming.

The atmosphere is warm and modern, with that polished wood aesthetic that fits the name perfectly. My dessert was rich the chocolate cake topped with fresh strawberries and fluffy whipped cream was the perfect finishing touch.

The atmosphere here is a modern bistro. It is brightly lit with a homey feel. They serve what I’d call a fusion of asian and American food.

I ordered an appetizer of Japanese Fried Chicken bites ($14), this is Marinated and potato starch crusted fried chicken thighs, chili aioli, sweet soy. These were excellent. The chicken was crunchy and the sauce really went well with the chicken. For my main I ordered Wagyu Noodle Bowl ($28). This is a
6oz grilled Wagyu, dark soy, ginger, light soy, garlic, oyster sauce, Thai basil, onion, bell peppers, mushrooms, broccolini, carrot, and yaki soba noodles. This was fantastic. Especially the steak. Super tender and melted in my mouth. The noodles were excellent and the sauce complimented everything. I was really tempted with the cider cheesecake for desert, but I was too full.

The service was excellent. Very friendly and helpful.

Overall a 5 star review. Would I return? Absolutely. Wonderful steak and a unique menu.

Went here on a whim and very glad we did. I had the venison burger and my wife had the Philly and everything was fantastic. Our server Meg was very friendly and the atmosphere was very laid back and relaxed. We will make trips to Mount Pleasant just to try more items on the menu.

I recently enjoyed the Cider Cheesecake at Workshop Social, and it was an exceptional dessert that truly stood out. The cheesecake itself delivered a perfectly balanced creamy texture with a subtle yet distinctive apple cider infusion—neither overly sweet nor heavy, allowing the delicate autumnal cider notes to shine through beautifully.

The presentation was elegant and thoughtful: a velvety slice crowned with delicately thin, crisp dehydrated apple chips arranged like sails, adding both visual appeal and a satisfying textural contrast. Accompanying it were artful swirls of silky caramel sauce and a light apple reduction that complemented the cider flavor without overpowering it. The graham crust provided just the right amount of buttery crunch to tie everything together.

Absolutely fantastic meals all around. Nice atmosphere with a couple evening cocktails. They were able to seat our large group rite away, and everyone loved their meals 10/10

We had a great lunch at Wood Shop Social! My Grecian salad was perfect for a hot summers day. My husband found his pasta dish filling and yummy. Our server was friendly and checked on us often. We would highly recommend eating here!

We started with the brussel sprouts which arrived very quickly. They were some of the best we’ve tried when going out for dinner. The herb buttermilk chicken wrap with the cucumber dressing on the side was very good and the size would have been plenty. The venison burger was a little under for my liking, but was too good to send back. It wasn’t very busy as we were there between 4 and 5 on a Friday. We had a great first experience at Wood Shop and will for sure return again.

We ate at the bar . I don’t know why it as rated so high no offense weren’t that impressed the food nor the best service because bartender didn’t check in much but he was a very nice guy. the main problem was food . We ordered the fish tacos which were ok the mac and cheese (boiled noodles with cheese on top and some sauce
) which we didn’t like for a 5 dollar upgrade side and the philly cheese thing. that was probably the worse because it was pretty mushy looking spicy taste on a philly i think their jam with it just reminded of puppy chow food not a philly it was like ground beef . just a lot of fried food appetizers and entre or steak or burger like a lot of michigan bar food . we get that mount pleasant doesn’t have many good restaurant options but it seemed like just an overpriced experience when the quality wasn’t there but hopefully they can learn but we won’t be back i don’t think . i will admit workers were friendly but not very good service at least the bartender but he was kind of busy with a full saturday night crowd maybe they need another bartender too

From the minute we walked in to the minute we left, this restaurant was top notch!! We went there after my daughter’s graduation and were led immediately to our table. (We did call ahead). But they were fully prepared for the volume of business they would have on graduation day! Our server Alexis was EXCEPTIONAL! Truly the best server I’ve had in years. She anticipated our every need! And the food!!! All 6 of us were amazed by the food! From the pimento dip, to the burgers and most especially the chicken pot pie, the food was cooked and presented to perfection! I’m happy I have a second kid at CMU, just so I can come back here! My new favorite restaurant in Mt. Pleasant!

Took my teenaged son out for lunch last weekend, and we enjoyed every bite of our mussels, walleye, and wagu beef. We’re both picky eaters, so we looked up the menu before we went and were pleasantly surprised that all the items we had chosen at home were available and incredibly delicious.
