PERFECT date spot!

Gorgeous decor, friendly staff, quick service and delicious food.

Please note, the menu is a bit limited compared to traditional Wood Ranch locations, absolutely delicious nonetheless!

Please don’t forget to the Blackberry-POM Martini- perfect summer drink !

We decided to do a work team lunch and chose WR on Greenfield close to the office. We arrived just before noon and were seated immediately in the outdoor covered patio area. A perfect 70 degrees pleasant atmosphere. Between the 5 of us we ordered Natalie’s Salad add tri-tip, WR tri-tip, Ethan’s Brisket Sandwich, BBQ Chopped Salad add tri-tip, and the 10 oz. tri-tip. the various sides included sweet potato fries, fries, and cauliflower. Everything was so tasty. We decided to share the Warm Butter Cake to finish it off, and what a great choice that was. A couple of bites each was a great way to finish the lunch. Our server was attentive to the drink refills and the meals came quickly. All-around, it was a great dining experience.

Casual dining with big BBQ flavors! Super friendly team from greeter to manager. Full rack of ribs were requested to be served naked with sauce on the side which led to a tender but crispy outside. Brisket street tacos were incredibly flavorful and juicy. Generous portions and good value.

Best “melted in my mouth’ brisket. Will make this one of my regular places to eat. Staff was very courteous and efficient. Went back the next week for lunch and the brisket was just as tender and juicy.
Going to try it for dinner next week. Maybe another location to see if all three near me are as good as the closest. Yummy yummy.

The food has good flavor and the servers are nice. The rolls are pretty good and have a buttery flavor. I ordered the BBQ Chopped Salad with tri tip and subbed romaine lettuce instead of mixed greens. It was tasty! The sauce on the tender tri tip was great and mixed well with the ranch dressing. The other ingredients were sparse though aside from lettuce and dressing. My colleague ordered BBQ Chopped Salad with chicken and cleaned his plate so it must have been good. Check out the pictures.
We went during an off peak time so it was a bit quiet inside. The outdoor patio seating looks fun for a summer day and they also have heaters outside in case it gets cold. It’s also well shaded. This is a local place that I haven’t visited very often but I’ll definitely go back to try some other items.

Sierra was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, the bathrooms were clean, and the atmosphere was a fun western! The pulled pork was cooked to perfection and the rolls+mac n cheese came in the cutest skillets. This restaurant is more of an upscale casual, the staff is dressed well but you won’t feel out of place wearing jeans. Looking forward to another trip here!

Menu
Robust offering of foods. Excellent plant based options and something for entire family.

Have to try the mac n cheese dish. Creamy, cheesy, hot, yum.

Appetizers
Delicious cauliflower with hot wing sauce
Crunchy, vegetables perfected fried

Cauliflower tacos with chips and healthy inspired salsa – yum

Chicken tacos also delicious and 2 times finger licking

Drink menu
Excellent choice of family drinks. Something for everyone.

Alcoholic beverages
Lemon tequila specialty – wow, refreshing and makes mama happy
Ice Tea – brewed fresh with added slice of lemon. Best tasting ice tea I have enjoyed in long time.

Service
Best service. 1st rate waiter and service. Never a glass empty. Our glasses were always full from water to alcohol.
We felt pampered.

Going back again!

Cheers.

Compare this with Lucilles and its not even close. Tritip had a heavy meat flavor that I disliked. Never was questioned if I liked the food or not and Im shy to just say. The kids burger was veeeery good. The vegetables were very good as well. But the meats and ribs were not.

My dining experience at Wood Ranch in Dana Point, CA, was nothing short of phenomenal. Having previously enjoyed the food at their Irvine location, my expectations were high, and I’m delighted to report that WR Kitchen Dana Point met and exceeded those expectations. With a mouthwatering menu, impeccable service, and the added bonus of no wait time, it was a 5-star experience all around.

We were thrilled to discover that the menu at the Dana Point location was the same as the one we love at the Irvine location. Eager to dive into the delicious offerings, we ordered the barbacoa street tacos, hot wings, and Shishido peppers. Each dish was prepared to perfection, with a beautiful balance of flavors that left us craving more.

One thing to note about the barbacoa street tacos is that they pack a spicy punch. They were even spicier than the hot wings, which may be something to consider if you’re not able to handle much heat. My girlfriend had a bit of a hard time with the tacos, but as someone who loves spice, I thoroughly enjoyed them. The hot wings had just the right amount of heat to satisfy our taste buds, while the Shishido peppers were a delightful surprise – a unique and tasty appetizer that we will undoubtedly order again on future visits. To complement our meal, we enjoyed a refreshing margarita and a smooth glass of red wine, both of which were expertly crafted.

What truly set our experience at Wood Ranch Kitchen in Dana Point apart was the stellar service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and efficient, ensuring that our dining experience was seamless from start to finish. It was a refreshing change of pace from the often crowded and bustling Irvine location, which had an hour and a half wait on the same evening.

In summary, our visit to Wood Ranch’s Dana Point restaurant was an exceptional dining experience that we won’t soon forget. With a delicious menu reminiscent of the Irvine location, outstanding service, and the added bonus of no wait time, we couldn’t have asked for a better night out. Just be mindful of the spice level in the barbacoa street tacos if you’re sensitive to heat. We will undoubtedly return to Wood Ranch and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a top-notch dining experience in the area. Five stars, without a doubt!

Tried a few of the tacos – The chicken taco has a kick. The cauliflower had a nice roasted texture. Both are good, but my favorite was the chips and salsa. Happy hour drinks are $2off before 6pm.
