The food tastes great! No complaints there. But taste is one thing. Ordering a dinner pasta entree and having it filled with everything else but the protein is ridiculous. I’ve tried to reach out about this matter and haven’t gotten a response. I only order the blacken chicken pasta. There’s no one in this world that eats it more than I do. So it came to a surprise when the chicken in my entree wasn’t like it always has been. It was later in the afternoon so I figured the restaurant must’ve ran out of produce. In which case they shouldn’t have served a large dinner entree with a minuscule amount of meat.

It was a great date night with my gf and the food was picture perfect and it tasted delicious. I had the bison burger with an egg and Parmesan tots and the burger was huge! And Delicious! My other half had a half rack of ribs and it was so tender juicy and flavorful! The ambient felt clean and fresh air. There’s also seating outside during warm weather and free parking and street parking.
The only thing to complain about was the inside seatings a bit too tight but that was about it.
I highly recommend this spot the prices are reasonable.

I recently visited the Hartford Wood-n-Tap to try their limited-time retro menu, which I think is such a fun way for the restaurant to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Everything we had was delicious, especially the crab dip and tap room fries!! The prices were brought back to what they originally were in 2002, so you really can’t beat them. Though it was a bit noisy due to being off a main road, the patio was beautiful with the flowers they had out, and I appreciated the parking lot across the street!

Excellent fare at a reasonable price in Hartford CT. The wings were perfectly crisp and with just the perfect amount of sauce. The steaks were cooked to perfection, whether my mother inlaws well done or my sons medium rare. My wife considers herself an onion soup expert, well, she loved theirs. My chopped salad was fresh and crisp without too much dressing. The manager comp us a dessert, it was massive and delicious, enough for the 4 of us at the table to enjoy. Would highly recommend.

Seated right away on a Sunday afternoon, waitress knowledgeable full menu, food was excellent. Onion soup delicious, ordered ck wings steaks, quesidella chopped salad all outstanding reasonably priced, also got a free dessert for the table. Have not been disappointed by a Wood n Tap, yet. And last night was no exception. Leilani was great as our server. The food was excellent – my wife had the Chicken Valdostana and I had the Bourbon Glazed Salmon. We had the throwback softies as an appetizer, and for me, always a cup of their homemade clam chowder. For dessert we had, without hyperbole, probably the best pumpkin cheesecake we have ever had – yes even better than factory. It was a great anniversary dinner, both yours and ours (26 years). It was a great celebration.

Not as impressed this time around. Service was fair, clam chowder was soupy, the asparagus sauce was way too spicy from r my taste, I think there was MSG or equivalent in somethibg on my plate because I have a migraine now. Kind of disappointed tonight

Wood-n- tap always brings it. Great winter menu.
Everything from the winter menu was fantastic.
Service is always proficient.
Any occasion from celebrations to I’m just plain hungry. Wood n tap has what you want. Cozy dining room and private room for larger groups available.
I highly recommend warming up on a cold winter stay with the butternut squash soup pairs well with sweet beet and arugula salad. That’s a meal in itself right there..
But the entrees they have like the bourbon glaze. Salmon is my go-to. Mixed vegetables and sweet potato on the side is definitely a nice flavor combination.
Short rib is definitely a winter classic favorite.
Especially with the mushroom risotto.
And if you’re a sandwich person they have you covered with patty melt
They also have two desserts available. The flourless chocolate cake. Which is gluten free and lives up to its name chocolate divine.
Also nice little winter classic is the walnut apple crisp.
The amazing selection of winter inspirations on the cocktails as well.
No matter what the season is, I definitely love a flight…. Enjoy dark cherry, winter citrus, a crisp ginger and finish it off with the classic. Margarita.

Zaca Bridges
Got the bourbon steak with mash potatoes & asparagus. The flavor was lacking but has potential to be better. The crème brûlée was pretty good. Our server Ashley was great & very polite.
