DO NOT RECOMMEND! Very disappointed. We sat down, ordered our drinks & food. Drinks came in about 5 minutes via waitress. Food came in about 20-25 minutes via kitchen staff. We all started to dig into our food. The Caesar salads tasted so old, like the dressing was expired and one of our salads had a big hair weaved throughout the lettuce. My soda glass also was filthy, it had a white ring around the glass, almost like old milk was sitting in there for a while and wasn’t washed out properly. Of course I didn’t notice until I finished it because soda is dark and the glass was full of ice. Our waitress never once came back to the table to ask how the food was so I couldn’t notify about the nasty salads, the hair or the dirty cup. She only came back when it was time for the check. I left a voicemail on February 3rd, and never received a call back. I also sent an email on February 3rd and the automatic reply states they would reach out within 1 to 2 business days. Today is February 13 and no one has reached out. I don’t know who the owner or manager is but this is just unacceptable. I’m not even asking for my money back. I genuinely want them to know that the service sucked, and maybe they need to tighten things up in the kitchen, hair nets and double checking dish and glassware after washing. We spent over $100 including the tip and it was such a poor experience. Don’t even waste your time or money

The Igloo experience for lunch was magical. Situated on the Farmington River simply beautiful. Menu has great selection of choices: salads, patty melt & grilled cheese short rib all perfection!

Absolutely beautiful stop to grab some grub and tasty beers! Went on a weekday and was absolutely packed, but we were lucky enough to grab a spot outside by the river. The server(Leah) and hostess were quick and kind, BUT… it did take quite some time to get our food. Usually kids meals are out quickly to help parents with unruly children. Unfortunately not on our visit. I will say, the Calamari was one of the best I’ve ever had! And sadly my main course, the Chop House Steak Salad, even though the steak was absolutely delightful, the actual salad was atrocious(soggy lettuce, slimy, wet mess) was absolutely not worth the cost. Seemed like a predressed, sat in a fridge for a day or 2 before being served. Flavors were good, just wish it had fresh crisp lettuce and wasn’t a gray mush. Overall, we would definitely come back to try some of the other seemingly fantastic options they offer! Definitely worth a try!

My salad was very delicious. The salmon was a little overcooked but the other made an enjoyable meal
The sever was very friendly and plenty of parking. Highly recommend going around happy hour time.

This is by far one of my favorite places. The food is good, the view of the river is amazing. Very peaceful and beautiful to look at. Very serene. You can also get a few drinks and sit by the water on some chairs. A place to eat, relax, and have a great view. Definitely going back.

My girlfriend has severe celiac disease and requires strict gluten-free food. We traveled a long distance to eat at Wood-n-Tap in Farmington because she has safely ordered the same gluten-free dish there many times before. This time, the meal looked different immediately — especially the sauce — and she even pointed that out before eating much of it.
Shortly after eating, she became violently ill and threw up twice. For someone with severe celiac, that’s not a minor issue — it’s serious and extremely concerning.
What made the situation worse was the manager’s response. Instead of showing concern or trying to help, he approached us in a dismissive and defensive way, as if we were wrong or exaggerating. We weren’t looking for compensation — we were looking for answers and accountability. When someone with a medically documented gluten intolerance gets sick immediately after eating your food, you don’t brush it off.
This experience was disappointing, alarming, and handled poorly. We will not be returning.

It’s a quaint place in a rustic-ish old building by the river. There are heated outdoor domes in the winter and a nice view of the river for some seats on one side of the building
The food was tasty and reasonably priced.
It’s not fancy and the alcohol menu isn’t extensive if that’s what you enjoy.
If you are in the area, I’d recommend it.
