This was the first time to visit the Wood-N-Tap. I can officially say I left with a every tastebud satisfied. The staff was quick to seat me and get my order going. Just a note, this place gets busy quick. I luckily came early. The House Salad I ordered ahead of the Blackened Chicken Pasta was one of the best salads I have had in a long time. I know part is due to the homemade blue cheese dressing. The pasta was huge. It definitely filled me up. I had no room for dessert. There are enough options on the menu, I will have to come back for more and include dessert.

Did I say I came back for more? Well, if you want dessert, then order small and save room. The Fish and Chips with the Tots instead of fries was great. Two pieces of Haddock, slaw and tots made the perfect meal. Time for dessert. The Madagascar Fudge Nut Brownie is yummy. Its large enough to share if you are into sharing your chocolate. Not here. Going to have to come back to try the Creme Brulee.

Traveling in the area and this place popped up as having a good happy hour. Decided to give it a try. Restaurant parking is behind the building. I didn’t know and entered through the dront which is for takeout and bar seating. Sat at a high top in the bar area. Service was a little slow. Drinks were good, ordered 2 apps, calamari, delish!, and the hummus platter. Food was served fast. Recommend going for happy hour.

Ordered the bison burger, it was amazingly good, service in the other hand no that great: ordered and pay for parmesan fries got regular fries instead, also at the moment of arrival I parked on one of the designated spots for curbside and texted the restaurant, never got a response nobody cameout even thought the order was ready, not explanation, restaurant wasn’t crowded, staff just didn’t want to go out, why even having the curbside parking spot for? Besides that best burger I’ve had in a while.

Wood-N-Tap in Wallingford is such a great spot, especially if you catch their Tappy Hour from 3–6 PM! We grabbed drinks, calamari, and nachos—all for just $28, which feels like a total steal these days. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed, perfect for unwinding after a long day. The food was fresh and tasty, and the service was quick and friendly. Definitely a go-to place for great deals, good vibes, and a delicious way to stretch your dollar!

Very mediocre food and so-so service. Restaurant was very chilly and didn’t seem too clean . Food was served lukewarm and nothing seemed homemade,very commercial tasting frozen fries,premade burger patties and bottled salsa. Chicken quesadilla had 4 pieces of chicken cartilage or gristle in the 6 pieces it was sliced into and was very bland tasting.nothing tasted very fresh or seasoned. I hate spending good money on things I could make better at home. We won’t be back.

Great bar with a good menu! And Tyler the bartender was very attentive and had great menu suggestions. I had the bison burger and the chipotle that was in it was not overpowering or too hot. Probably the best bison burger I can remember and I have had bison in several states. My only complaint is that they had no local stouts or porters, but that is typical for many bars during the summer.

This evening, we made the decision to dine at Wood n Tap with our son and grandsons. The service we received was courteous and highly efficient. There were no instances of informal language, such as “hey guys,” which I find to be unpleasant. The staff demonstrated utmost politeness and respect throughout our interaction. The food was of good quality, with my meal consisting of a full course, while the others opted for burgers and appetizers. My sole point of dissatisfaction was the lighting in the area where we were seated. It was excessively dim, to the extent that we had to use the flashlights on our phones to read the menu. This is not an exaggeration.
