What a neat local find. Husband and wife run this place took over a house turned it into and eclectic eatery. We had both breakfast and lunch, tater tots were fantastic with some Sriracha aioli is my guess, I had a grilled chicken sandwich on brioche with some veggies, side salad with a light vinaigrette and a chai latte. All the ingredients were super fresh, everything was thoughtful and well put together, service was very friendly, We also got the granola breakfast burrito and egg breakfast. A lot of in-house handmade products including the sausages the pickled eppers etc. Labor of love for this family. My coffee drink was good, And I really enjoyed the house atmosphere. Everything was well priced. Overall I was very impressed and would totally recommend this place for breakfast or lunch.

We absolutely loved our visit to this restaurant. We were in the area as part of a 2-week vacation and chose this restaurant for lunch based on timing and reviews. We were not disappointed. The staff was friendly across the board, the neat house location and seating arrangements were really cool, and the food was outstanding. We really liked it and will hit it again if we are ever in the area again. Highly recommended.

Fantastic little eatery! Feels modern and had a relaxed, mellow atmosphere. I had the AM Handheld and season fruit. The pepper jam on the biscuit was delicious. My hubs got their Big Burrito, which is indeed big so keep that in mind. The Spanish Latte is also very tasty. Great place if you’re busy and want to grab something fast.

We had a delicious breakfast here on a Sunday morning. We didn’t have to wait to order but it did get a little busier after we sat down. We enjoyed the Belgian waffle and the American. Both were very worthy of ordering again. The eggs and bacon were delicious and the sourdough toast was really nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The cappuccino was good, and the drip coffee was okay. It’s in a charming old house which is a little drafty.

First off, this little place was a godsend for the little ones! We wanted a place that wasn’t fast food while on our journey from Pittsburgh, PA back to Chattanooga, TN so we googled restaurants and found The Wood Iron Eatery. I had my whole family with me, which included my husband, my six year old and my 11 month old. The kiddos definitely needed to burn off some energy, and there was a really nice, clean, playroom upstairs! Both kids were entertained by the selection of toys, books and a small climbing wall. All of our food was brought upstairs so we could continue to play for a little while before and after our meals.

The food was delicious! I had the black bean burger with a really tasty side salad and my husband had a smash burger with some waffle fries. Both meals were REALLY good! We also ordered some tots for the kids and an everything pepperoni roll, both of which were also amazing! The gentleman serving us was also very friendly and recommended we check out their well outside for my son on the way out. Overall, this was a really nice family friendly restaurant and we plan on stopping again on our way through the next time we travel.

Scrambled tofu was amazingly good. Tots were crispy on the skin and fluffy inside, great pair with fresh avocado and bacon bits. I particularly love their bacon as it’s smoky and crispy, not oily at all. Overall a great breakfast option on Rest Day instead of Climbing Day if you are climbing in the area.
A bit pricy but you can tell they prepare food with all their heart.

My wife and I stopped at The Wood Iron Eatery during our anniversary trip with our two dogs, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish.

The patio offered plenty of space for us and our fur kids — the picnic tables were comfortable and perfectly accommodating.

I ordered the A.M. Handheld Sandwich with housemade fennel sausage, egg, and cheese on an English muffin, and it was outstanding. You can really tell they take pride in crafting their food — the housemade sausage had incredible flavor, and the pepper jelly brought the whole sandwich to life. I also had a side of the pepper potato hash, which was excellent — just the right amount of spice and a great crispy texture.

My wife ordered the Belgian waffle with honeycomb butter and a maple drizzle. It was perfect — you could tell the batter was made from scratch, with just the right amount of sweetness (not overly sweet like many breakfast waffles).

We also ordered two brown butter pumpkin lattes, which came out before our meal, served hot in ceramic mugs — a great touch. They were delicious and full of cozy fall flavor.

The food came out quickly, and every staff member we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. We honestly would’ve loved to try everything on the menu because it all looked incredible.

The Wood Iron Eatery gets a 10 out of 10 from us. If you’re visiting Fayetteville or the New River Gorge area, this place is an absolute must!

Amazing lunch with friends. We were looking for a dog friendly place and they definitely are. I had the lunch special Tomato Bisque which was to die for, and (not sure if the name,) an avocado toast on sourdough. My friend the breakfast special with homemade fennel sausage which was amazing. We all decided it was worth a trip back just for the food. We live about 1 1/2 hours away. The waitress was super.

Buffalo chicken scramble was yum! Great coffee options and good breakfast/brunch menu. Its a quaint little house converted to a café and has its own charm with both indoor and outdoor seating. Had to wait about 20 mins for food but the staff are very warm. Would come here again.
