Tried the mushroom pizza. I thought that the dough and pizza had a good taste. It wasn’t my favorite Neapolitan ever, but the flavor was decent.

Absolutely love this place. Been coming here for 7 years now, should’ve written this review a lot sooner. The pizza is some of the best in the area and the pasta is also killer. Seriously recommend this place if you’re in the area! They don’t take reservations, it is first come first serve. It’s a small spot, so bigger groups will probably have a tough time during peak hours.

Disappointed! My whole bag ripped open when I took it out the car because the “steam” wet the bottom of the bag. The server/waitress was very unpleasant, rude and she rushed packing my “multiple “items in the bag so that she could go back and gossip with her co-worker. She should’ve used multiple bags instead of being cheap! I also told her “rare” burger and she responded “ medium rare” which is what I got. Meatballs were cold inside as if they just microwave them. Veal was ok, not bad. Zucchini flowers were a horror show. Nothing but fried dough. Bottom of my $20 pizza was not cooked enough so pizza was wet, soggy I had to rebake it in my oven at home

I haven’t been out to dinner since November 25th when I broke my tibia. I couldn’t wait to return to one of our favorite Melrose restaurants. I was overjoyed to see Omar, Nickie, and Jon Carlo tonight. We ordered a few of the specials with the fried calamari app. The calamari were incredibly tender and I absolutely love the arugula side salad. We also got their bucatine & meatball w/barata, as well as their home made gnocchi over chicken Parm w/vodka sauce. The food was just amazing. Omar pounds the chicken cutlets so they’re nice and thin, and they cook up crispy on the outside while retaining the tenderness inside. Their gnocchi were pillowy and full of flavor. Their vodka sauce is perfection. It’s not ladden with too much heavy cream. You get the best of both worlds because what they add compliments their marinara. Nickie took exception care of us, as she always does. Even when I’m wheelchair bound and not looking or feeling myself, Nickie had that warm genuine magic that only she possesses and makes her the amazing person she is, which lifted my spirits and very happy I pushed myself to do this tonight. Don’t get me started on the fabulous meatballs

We loved the entire experience of dining in this little shop off main street. The pizza was a revelation – the dough just perfectly charred and fluffy light yet binding enough knockout flavour from the tomatoes and the basil. The papardeli pasta was amazing – meaty, perfectly textured mouth feel and silky with the meat sauce and the cheese. The service was warm and welcoming and we felt so at home. Special thanks to the chefs and the staff who spoke to us and made us feel so welcome. We loved it and we will be back!! Highly recommended place to stop over in Melrose!

Our first time visiting Wood and Fire Neapolitan Pizzeria in Melrose. Great staff, dinner and desserts. The meat lasagna is delicious and the portion was very generous. For dessert we had the churros with Nutella and we weren’t disappointed. Although the restaurant for seating is small, we didn’t feel cramped next to people and it was overall a great experience. We will come back and try the pizzas next visit. – June 2019

We absolutely loved this restaurant. We started with the meat Ragu arancini. The pepperoni pizza with hot honey and the wood + fire pizza was delicious. Then we ended the night with the churros with Nutella and sweet ricotta. Fantastic service from Kristen. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu!
