i’ve been a LOT of korean bbqs — all over the states. but this is one of the best i’ve ever had. we got the marinated short ribs and boneless ribeye. the meats were so unbelievably tender. and the flavor profile was on point. the marinated short ribs had a subtle sweet flavor that wasn’t overpowering (the flaw in most galbi orders). and the ribeye was just perfectly melted into my mouth. mr. kim was our server and was so sweet! he cooked our order at the table and provided excellent service. would 100% be thinking about this place until i come back

2 Stars – Disappointed with Both Food and Service

Had dinner at Woo Hyang Woo tonight and unfortunately left pretty disappointed.

The place looks nice and clean, and the prices are acceptable—we spent $117 for two people, which included:
• Marinated Short Ribs – $25
• Prime Rib – $27
• Premium Pork Belly – $35
• Beef Tongue – $10
• Prime Beef Brisket (half portion) – $5
• 1 Sapporo + 1 Asahi – $10
(❌ Parking was $15 with no validation)

But that’s pretty much where the positives stop.

The meat quality was underwhelming—some were dry and overcooked, and nothing really stood out in terms of flavor. For what we paid, we expected more than just “okay.”

Service was the worst part. Our server had no energy, no explanation, and no interest in helping. He came to cook the meat without asking, and left it on the grill too long, ruining it. He looked like he didn’t want to be there at all.

Honestly, if the staff are having a hard day, they should just stay home. There’s no need to show up and give customers that kind of attitude.

We came in expecting a decent Korean BBQ experience. Instead, we got so-so meat and bad service. Won’t be returning.

The short rib tomahawk is our go-to. The meat is perfectly grilled and tender. Always a great meal!

I had a great experience at this Korean barbecue place! The food was absolutely delicious — everything was fresh and flavorful. The service was also very good; the staff were attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Their food is great. We got the Combo BTS. Best ribeye meat! And the service is superb!. The server, Mr. Kim was very nice and accommodating. Very great guy. Would surely recommend this to friends and family.

Came here for the first time to celebrate a birthday as kbbq brisket is one of her favorites. They have a $27.99 per person weekend/evening AYCE beef brisket special which includes an order of their soy pork spare ribs. (During the weekdays, they have the same special for lunch at $22.99 per person). The quality of the brisket was good. I think they use a prime cut. Alongside the meats, they served banchan including pickles, kim chee, potato salad, pickled radish/diakon and salad as well as a spicy soup. I think the banchan were okay (the salad has a bit of bitter lettuce stalk and the potato salad was just okay), but you come here for the meats and that did not disappoint. The interior is modern and clean, and the staff continued to check in with us and ordering more meat for us. Between two people, we had four plates of beef briskets for over an hour. They have a limit of 90 mins but on our weekend afternoon, it wasn’t too busy and most groups were leaving around an hour. Parking is $10 at their lot (they include free parking for their weekday lunch) or it’s $1/hr on the meter for two hours. Parking in the residential area can be difficult since it’s at the heart of ktown but you might be lucky.

Woo Hyang Woo is a gem in the heart of Koreatown! Even on a busy Saturday night, we got seated immediately. We went for the brisket special and char pork ribs. The brisket was decent, but the ribs stole the show—served on a sizzling plate and packed with incredible flavor. I could seriously eat this every day! Plus, you get unlimited soybean soup, all for just $24. Amazing deal! The service was top-notch too. Highly recommend!

Had dinner at Woo Hyang Woo and overall it was a really solid experience. The meat was high quality, super tasty, and the staff was friendly and on top of things.

The only downside was the grilled shrimp, it came out a bit overcooked and dry, which was disappointing compared to how good everything else was.

Still, I’d definitely come back. Just hoping next time the shrimp gets the same love as the rest of the meal!

First time here. Came on a Friday night and got seated right away. We ordered Premium Pork Belly and their Short Rib Tomahawk. Great quality meat and we think their portion is pretty generous too. For the drink we ordered a bottle of sake which was on the special price for $20, great deal! They also give us an option to cook the meat on the table or in the back kitchen. Service was really great too. Definitely coming back to try more on the menu.

Service was good, and the restaurant itself was very clean.

I was a bit disappointed by the portioning, The combo D was listed to feed 4 people but the meat portion brought out was laughably small for the $180 dollar cost. The pork jowl was a decent portion, but i just felt very underwhelmed by the amount of food. It’s disappointing because this was one of the first BBQ’s I came to after moving to LA and remember how good the food was a few years ago. Unfortunately, It seems like it has been hit by inflation and the rising cost of food.

Still, the workers were friendly. I just wished the menu was more transparent regarding portioning. My wife weighs like 95 lbs and even she was still hungry after the meal. I don’t think you should spend $200 to feel hungry, for the money it’s better to perhaps eat elsewhere.
