I’ve lived in Illinois for over 10 years. I used to love Chinese food when I was young. Over the years I’ve lost my interest because I felt like nothing lived up to how I remembered Chinese food tasting when I was a kid. I ordered a hot and sour soup, moo shu pork, general Tao’s chicken, egg foo young, and potstickers. Easily the best Chinese food I’ve probably ever had in Illinois. Even better than the food I’ve had in Chinatown. I will absolutely be coming back and will recommend this location to anyone that asks in the future. The venue and service are mid at best…, but the food more than makes up for it.

Clean, open kitchen, Reasonable price with average portions and worst service as our first time here. we were rush if we are ready to order right after we seated and haven’t even look at the menu. Over cooked Chinese broccoli and chicken with ginger green onions was semi dry. bbq pork noodles soup was good. Bbq pork with decent flavor and noodles cooked right. Bbq pork with eggs and soy sauce over rice was better. The best was the potstickers with vinaigrette dipping sauce. Hot, soft with mild flavor and crisp on the outside .

COCKROACH in my FRIED-RICE!!!! I have been coming to this place for a couple of years now. Dine in and take out. Ive been happy so far since they are nearby. But the other day was different. I got takeout. excited to eat their food for my lunch break. Until, I found cockroach in their food. Check out the image. They gave me a refund but no apologies or anything. I thought it was kinda weird how nonchalant they were about the issue. Like it was a normal thing. So i decided to write an honest review. hopefully this helps somebody.

We loved the food. We haven’t had this good chinese food in the longest time. The taste, flavor profile, texture, and how it was not salty at all, but just right so that people who have to watch their sodium can still enjoy this food. We missed the chinese food that we grew up with and this hit home. GO HERE if you want some authentic food and knowing that they did it right! They brought chinatown to the burbs!

A Gem, Wonton gourmet serves hot fresh food, and the quality is great. The sweet and sour chicken, Kung poa beef, mongolian beef, and moo shu were awesome. I was not a fan of the chicken soup or the Crab Rangoon. The service was good, the atmosphere is casual but pleasant. The drinks are very limited, four different sodas, lemonade, beer, tea. This is the best Chinese restaurant in the area.

This is a Chinese noodle restaurants. It’s been there for more than 15 years. It was started from a little place where close to the current location. Other than wonton the noodles and quick snacks, they also have different varieties of rice and popular stir fry dishes.

The restaurant is not fancy like Yu’s or Chef Ping, and the staffs are not friendly.
But you had better try your best to accept it and give it a try.
Their dishes are really good.
If you know they are not friendly beforehand, your frustration should be somewhat controlled.
My favorite dishes are –

We’ve gone to Wonton for several decades, even before their “new” location on Elmhurst Road. Today we had Volcano Shrimp, Braised Noodles with Beef Stew, and Sweet and Sour soup.The Sweet and Sour Soup has always been the best that I’ve had anywhere. We’ve been pleased with whatever we’ve ordered.The Beef Stew today was very tasty, but the beef was mostly chunks of fat.
I’ll still rate everything as Five Stars because of their consistency in consistentlly delivering great food.

They have a big parking lot, so parking was not a problem. Their service is great. Staff is really friendly and attentive. The place was about 75% full, and we got our food really quick. The tables are well spaced.
We got the egg rolls for appetizers. It is a plate of two, and they are good. The hot and sour soup was also good.
