great experience! I got the egg rolls apitizer and the mah fat chicken which came with a side of rice. the egg rolls arent what I typically think of as egg rolls but they were very good non the less. the chicken was so delicious and definitely filled the fried chicken cravings I’ve been having. everything was so insanely filling and I had to take most of it home. they made my food very fast (like within 5 minutes fast) but I was also only one of two tables there at the time. I also loved the complementary hot tea. again, great experience! im just bumped that there arent more pictures and descriptions of their food. however they do have QR codes that link to a special online menu that has way more descriptions of things

Been coming here for years. ALWAYS consistently awesome food and service. Their plates are always stuffed with more food than we can eat and every item cooked to perfection. The staff is always very attentive and friendly making it a great experience. I have never had a sub par meal heated in over 15 years. Clean dining area and kitchen.

My husband loves Chinese food and drives by this place almost daily, so we decided to give it a shot. To start, there was an hour wait for a take out order. Not a huge deal as they were busy, but still a bit much. Has the food been any good at all, this still would have been 4 stars. My BBQ pork had gone bad. I ate one piece of the over cooked pork and the rancid taste had me throwing it away. I would think maybe the taste was from seasoning, but nothing was seasoned with anything other than garlic. I do love garlic, but that was literally the ONLY seasoning. Everything else was so bland. My husband sat here, pouting, thinking he had a place close to our new home and commented on how disappointed he was. He never complains about anything, especially not Chinese food. We won’t be back.

My kiddo is in the hospital, and wanted something quick that wasn’t hospital food, and this was perfect! Not too much rice, lots of the main meat dish, with and egg roll, and wantons! It’s really big enough for two small eaters.

He said it would be ready in ten, I was there in 6, and was already ready and hot!

This is our go to chinese restaurant. I sometimes Google search other chinese restaurants because I like to try different places but we always end up here. The food is always fresh and fast. You also get large portions so you’re getting a very good deal because there’s at least 2 meals with your combo.

Wong’s Garden is one of the best Chinese joints in VanPort. We’d rather drive past dozens of other Chinese restaurants to dine at Wong’s because they serve tasty food in huge portions at fantastic prices. My wife likes to order way more than we’ll eat and bring home the rest. There’s usually enough for three or four more meals—all for about $100.

Highlights:
For spice lovers, the Szechuan chicken is a standout. Ordered “extra spicy,” it arrives perfectly balanced with heat and flavor. The orange chicken is another favorite—crispy, tangy, and satisfying. My wife swears by the broccoli beef, while the pork lo mein and egg foo young also deserve special mention for their quality and flavor.

Room for Improvement:
Not every dish hits the same high mark. The fried shrimp have more batter than I care for. The hot and sour soup is decent but not very spicy. I still want to try their wonton soup. The Chinese spicy beef is just okay.

The Verdict:
Wong’s Garden feels like a bit of a secret. It’s a modest, no-frills space, but the kitchen consistently delivers where it matters most—flavor, portion size, and value. While I usually lean toward Thai food eight times out of ten, when the craving for Chinese hits, Wong’s is my go-to.✌ -VanPort Insider

I have to say this is honestly the best Chinese food around! Not only are the portions great but the food tastes amazing! They have the real deal egg rolls! I can’t recommend this place enough!

Don’t waste your money. We got take out and it *looks* good but the food has no flavor and the prices are high. Portion size is great but honestly I have no idea how we’re going to finish this stuff… it’s just so flavorless.

i had a family dinner here on Christmas and despite the chaos of the holiday, the service and food were both stellar! huge portions at an excellent price. no one at the table had a bad thing to say about any of the dishes.

Food was not good. Watered down and no flavor. Meat tasted hard and stale. Fried rice has chunks of white rice- wasn’t mixed well. Shrimp was slimy and undercooked. Service was unfriendly and the decor and atmosphere is very depressing, dark and cold.
