We came here and tried a few dishes — everything was tasty, freshly made, and such great value.
✅ Hot & Sour Soup — our favorite!
Salt & Pepper Pork Chop
Lemon Chicken with Fried Rice (combo plate)
✅ Beef with Chinese Greens — our favorite!
Portions are generous, prices are super reasonable, and the food comes out fast. Cash-only, but definitely worth it. Nice sit-down area and street parking only. Great mom-and-pop spot — we’ll be back!

Unassuming hole in the wall! They offer huge portions at affordable prices. I had the bbq chicken with broccoli rice plate and the wonton soup. It could’ve fed at least two people. The food came out quick and the service was impeccable. Oh yeah, and the food was 10000/10.

This is our 2nd time visiting and both times, the food was very hot and delicious! The portion sizes are acceptable for the price, definitely able to share with 2-3 ppl and/or have left orders if buying individual plates. All dishes came out hot & fresh and very quickly. I love Orange Chicken, but they don’t have this item. As a very good substitute is the Lemon Chicken ($10), highly recommend, as it’s now my favorite dish there. The Beef w/ Broccoli ($11) was delicious, but very saucy. Steam Rice Large ($3); we had leftovers… great portion size. Beef Chow Mein ($9), highly recommend. Vegetarian Hot & Sour Soup ($9 or $10); husband loved it! Definitely had leftovers. Overall with taxes, spend $55 (not including tip) for 2 ppl & leftovers. The only negative is they only accept CASH, VENMO, or ZELLE. NO CREDIT CARDS. Parking is very limited. Customer Service is awesome! Very friendly! We’ll definitely be back.

Great, true, literal hole in the wall Chinese Restaurant.
We had three rice plates ($11.50), one with fried rice which is an extra $2
1. Sweet & Sour Pork with Fried Rice. Not something we normally ever get anywhere, but this place does it well. Light and crisp batter, not greasy, tender meat that’s not half fat like many places. Fried Rice had nice wok hei (that smoky flavor) albeit was just a little on the salty side for my taste, but that’s not cause for concern.
2. Sweet & Sour fish.
Both sweet & sour dishes had mild sauces that weren’t overly sweet or bland. Fish filets were nice.
3. Mapo Dofu (tofu) with minced pork. Good dish, expertly prepared, and sizzling hot.
Number 2 & 3 were ordered with plain rice which they give you a generous portion of. Definitely worth a try if in the area and want fast, affordable, straightforward Chinese food.

Definitely the best Chinese fast food place in colma/daily city county its the most Asian experience you can get really the food is average- good considering the price range as we’ll definitely matches the quality of food i could take pride in taking someone here knowing they’ll have an acceptable or even good food experience here its very homey vibes on the inside i feel this matches the asian fast food theme perfectly and i would even say up to restaurant quality and service especially for the dishes they offer only caveat is the opening times i feel it can hit or miss but its extremely authentic and affordable

Classic hole in the wall Chinese place. <15 min walk from BART, just a few stops from the airport. Cheap, friendly, crazy fast, huge portions. The perfect neighborhood Chinese-American restaurant in my book.

2025: Wong’s Cafe is still good for what it is, friendly, American-Chinese food. I’m still amazed at the hundreds of different dishes their little kitchen puts out. I like how you can substitute the rice dishes to chow mein or fried rice for an extra $2. Their kitchen made my dish in less than five minutes. Tonight I had their #140 fried salt & pepper fish with chow mein $13.50. The batter for the fried salt and pepper fish was a bit hard. The chow mein had too much soy sauce. My preference is less salt taste as it leaves a lingering taste hours after the meal. Regardless, service was friendly and the food tasted fine.
Original review: Eating at Wong’s Cafe feels like dining in someone’s basement. The linoleum floor sealant has peeled away leaving patches of the concrete below visible. The dining room is decorated with dusty plants and lace doilies drapes. It reminded me of the small restaurants I visited in Hong Kong’s Sham Shui Po district with the foldable chairs without a back. Wong’s Cafe is a couple of notches above those places. Tonight I had their tomato beef pan fried crispy noodles $11.75. This dish was delicious. The beef was tenderized without any chewy bits. The crispy pan fried noodles had enough wok hay. The gravy had a wonderful classic tomato taste with a zing from the green bell peppers and onion slices. Service was friendly and quick. Great job staff at Wong’s Cafe.

I saw this place on yelp and noticed it’s high reviews. I ordered for pick up and immediately noticed how small it was, truly a classic hole in the wall. They were not offering indoor/outdoor dining, but I noticed so many to go orders when I went to pick it up. Since my first order, I’ve tried a variety of their things and they’ve all been amazing. I would highly recommend the honey walnut shrimp and their salt pepper pork chop.
Note: they are cash only!
