Great food. Good service. Great price. They have been here for 30 plus years so the decor is dated but it’s a classic Chinese restaurant. We always eat here when in Citrus Heights.

The food is not the same. We’ve been gone since July and this was one of our first places to eat when back in town this week. Was always our favorite, so good.

However the food was not good this time. The egg drop soup was very watery, the eggs seemed like they were cooked scrambled, then dropped in, not the usual light egg slurry, plus it had mushrooms (big yuck for me!) and water chestnuts in it.

The egg rolls were dripping in oil, I mean puddles on the plate. We had to wrap each one in a napkin to soak the excess oil off.

The Kung Pao chicken really didn’t have a lot of flavor and although there were several chili peppers in it, the sauce had no bite. I wasn’t a fan of the zucchini and whatever the little diced square veggies were. And the item that makes it special to me – the peanuts – were stale.

The chicken chow mein was just meh.

The fried rice had nothing in it but soy sauce and oil it seems – no veggies, meat nor egg. Thus not very flavorful. Nothing like it used to be.

We’re really disappointed and not sure we’ll go back. 🙁

The food tasted good but I couldn’t eat most of the chicken because it wasn’t really big chunks it was tiny and very crunchy, tore up the rood of my mouth. I had to ask and wait for the lady to get off the phone for my beer. Egg roll was under cooked. Got soup even though I said no. Anyway it did taste good. I asked if the decorations were authentic and they looked plastic. From a distance they looked nice. Truthfully I dont know what everyone us raving about. Grrr

After coming here for over 20 years, I owe them a review. When I think of Chinese food, this is the restaurant I think of. It’s nostalgia, my family brought me here when I was a kid. As a teen, I’d drive here on Friday nights to pick up dinner. I moved away after high school, but any time I come back to visit family, I want to come here. When I’m at home, I crave this as I have to eat the lesser Chinese near me!

The orange chicken is THE orange chicken for me. It’s super crunchy, perfectly breaded, and the chicken is long and thin which helps it cook better. The sauce is perfection. Never have I ever found an orange chicken at multiple similar Chinese restaurants that has even come close. The walnut shrimp, cream cheese wontons, and won ton soup are also favorites of my family. Even the white rice is my ideal perfect white rice. I’m getting hungry now.

The same people have always worked there, they do their job well but they aren’t always the friendliest, at times. I’m there for the food. Order take out or stop in for 40 minutes, you’ll go home full and happy.

Me and my best friend went here we got beef chow mein 11.95, orange chicken 12.75, and Honey walnut shrimp 16-17 and two sodas it somehow ended up being $70 and they when it posted on my bank account it turned out to being $80 im pretty pissed off because how can 3 plates of food be $80 the food was good but $80 dollars for just that even added up on my own 60 ok but $80??? That’s definitely a rip off idk where extra 30ish dollars came from.

Food: varying degrees of temperature. Very hot on the top, cold underneath like it was warmed in microwave. Ingredients weren’t fresh or tasty. Fried rice was white rice with soy sauce mixed in. Lots of goopy clumpy sauce. The wonton crisp texture seemed stale. While the portions are big, they don’t warm up well.

Service: fast. Not very friendly or welcoming. Sterile and urgent at best

Environment: the door dash machine was beeping quite often. It was loud, disruptive, and alarming. The waitress shouted over our table several times talking to other tables or people near the front door rather than walking there and speaking in a lower volume that didn’t disrupt our table

Food’s hit-and-miss used to be really, really good. But not so much anymore.
Too bad.It was my favorite restaurant. Unfortunately, I’ve gotten food that was absolutely delicious. And food, I had to run through the bathroom to spit out.

We have been eating here for years and have never had a bad experience. They have been open since 1987, so they must be doing something right. While I have tried nearly everything on the menu, my favorite dish is the Sesame Chicken. And my wife really enjoys the twice-cooked pork. The lunch specials include wonton soup, hot tea, egg roll, fried wonton, and steamed or fried rice. The portions are so large, you cannot finish them by yourself. In fact, we always bring some home which is enough for our lunch the next day.

I’ve been eating at this place since I was in utero! They’ve known my family for decades. Fantastic food, great service (that’s fast also) and their egg rolls are to die for.

Been eating here for years, food quality has always been good. Love the soups !! My only disappointment is that the time frame they quote you never seems right, they say 20 minutes but really it’s more like 45
