Reviews
The food here is fantastic, especially considering the value. My brother ordered the chicken quesadilla, and I went with the Wonder Burger combo that included fries, ranch, and a drink. Everything together came in under $40, and the portions were massive. The Wonder Burger was perfectly charred and truly one of a kind. It had all the classics—lettuce, tomato, and onion—but also stepped it up with bacon, mushrooms, avocado, and a great sauce that tied everything together. It was loaded, messy in the best way, and incredibly satisfying. The fries were plentiful and crispy, and the ranch was a great bonus. Overall, delicious comfort food done right.
Service:
Service was fast and efficient. Staff was super friendly. I was in a rush after getting my car window fixed, and they had my food out in about five minutes. No delays, no confusion—just quick, solid service when I needed it most.
Ambiance:
The space definitely feels old-school, but that’s part of the charm. This place has clearly been around for years, and it shows in a comforting, classic diner way. It reminds me of East Pasadena’s version of Lucky Boy on the west side—no frills, just dependable food and history. The only downside is the limited hours (9am–3pm). It’s a shame they’re not open for dinner because I’d absolutely love to come back and try more of the menu.
Went there with my Lady and Daughter in law. All had pancakes this time. Place is very clean and Person who took our order was nice, and the Chef is my Hero. Food was done in less than 10 minutes. He was so fast, got us in and outta there.
The food was really good. Nice sized portions and tasty. So five stars for the food.
The service was good. No problems here!
The atmosphere? It’s okay. Inside was clean. Some of the patrons… Not that I felt unsafe, but not the kind of people I associate with. Seems like some were on drugs in the middle of the day.
The hours are odd. I’ve pulled into the parking lot on a few occasions and they were closed. It seems like a lot of people use the drive thru window.
Food is pretty good for what it is. Older 80’s kitsch here. A few Booths and Window Seating.
Parking in the rear OR Street Parking.
I didn’t use the Restrooms.
Haven’t been here forever but, am glad they Survived The Flu Vi-rus Pandemonium.
Place is considerably clean and most people seem to order TO GO.
No TVs. Radio playing.
They’re usually Not Open in the Evenings. I believe it’s just Breakfast & Lunch.
The building is very unassuming and is empty any time I drive by after 3:30 so I wondered on the walk there if it would be open or even still in business, but lucky me… it was 3:15 and barely still open. I knew what I wanted (CHILI DOG) and noticed a couple variations, including one called a “hangover dog” which basically just adds jalapeños (the LAST thing I crave when I’m hungover).
ANYWAY… the place is old but immaculate, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the chili dog kicked a$$!! As shown in the photo I took, a random ray of sun poked perfectly through the clouds and the window to shine right on the center of it just before my first bite. OK, OK, I’m getting carried away here, but seriously… I’m sooo glad I went and will definitely be back. If you’re in the area and are craving some really awesome food hot off a greasy grill, give them a try. You might be disappointed, but then again, you might also be a butthead. Hahaha! JK 😉
Always so so good… their breakfast & lunch. This morning was, bacon & eggs with side of French Toast
