Has anyone tried Wonder on 14th St in Washington, DC? – Facebook

I’ve heard mixed things about it. It’s more like a ghost kitchen than a proper food hall. I heard some of the food is good, but some isn’t.

I had an absolute wonderful experience with Wonder. I was not sure how the concept worked, and was skeptical as to how the delivered food would turn out, but to my experience it was wonderfully perfect! The delivery person kindly waited for me, as I ran late to reach my place. The food was perfectly packaged and the food was scrumptious. Looking forward to future orders!

First time trying Wonder and it was great!

After seeing other cautious reviews, we intentionally picked something that’s less risky. We ordered the beef bowl from Yasas, the Mediterranean place for pickup. The food came out fresh and well assembled. Beef is more like steak quality and actually tender, although too big for bite size. All the spreads and sauces are delicious with Harissa and Zhong being my favorite. 2 toppings sold out but we’re able to swap for something else. Overall the food is great and I’d order again.

The staff is extremely kind. I forgot to add a pita to my order and they went back to get me one. Thank you!

I’ll give another try and upgrade my review if I’m getting consistent quality.

I got the chance to try out @wonder which just opened on 14th street. I had a meal that was regular on day one (and took an extra 90 minutes because they were so slammed with orders) and another order that was exceptional so I’m definitely open to giving it a chance. The Texas bbq was exceptional and some of the best pork belly I’ve EVER had. I also definitely had like 3 of these banana puddings from @magnoliabakery which were delicious

I was expecting more of a food hall like the Square or Union Market but Wonder is more like a ghost kitchen for multiple concepts in one. It doesn’t deliver to my area yet but more are supposed to open. It has opportunities to add to the community if it chooses so I’m hopeful for how it will evolve and not end up like Foxtrot. DC is a great place to start new food concepts but we have high standards!

Probably the worst drunken noodles I’ve ever had in my entire life. I wouldn’t even call it a glorified ghost kitchen. It seems like they don’t even have dedicated chefs, but young kids reheating food in a big but weirdly empty kitchen in the back?

The noodles, which were not even the correct type for the dish, were as hard as a rock and seemed like they had just been taken out of storage of some sort — they were crunchy! The dishes were so indelible that my girlfriend and I had to take them home and cook them in a wok with soy sauce to even make the noodles edible.

Just shockingly bad.

Tonight we stopped in for the first time and got a pizza from Detroit Brick Pizza Co and a dessert from The Hungry Gnome and it was exactly what we were looking for! The service was excellent and food was quite delicious at the right price point. This is truly a great spot for a group of people who can never agree on what to eat; the options are endless.

Checked out Wonder for a group meal and it was fun to be able to order from different restaurants. They said 12-22 min for pickup and it was ready in 11 min! We tried Yasas, Hanu Poke, and Limesalt. The hummus and pepper feta dips from Yasas were TINY, and the pitas were also small, but they were only a dollar. The taste was fine, probably wouldn’t order again. The poke bowl and burrito however were massive and both really good. Both the salmon and tuna in the poke bowl were so soft and fresh! Not sure if we’ll make this a regular thing (and definitely wouldn’t dine there), but overall decent.

Tried Wonder on 14th and was really looking forward to it given the concept of celebrated chefs. I ordered the Detroit-style pizza, and while the sauce-on-top approach is authentic, the rest was disappointing. Sparse toppings, uneven cheese, and an overall presentation that felt rushed. Honestly, it looked and tasted more like a test run than a finished product. For the branding and price point, I expected a lot more care in execution.

Love being able to order from different restaurants in one order with low fees and frequent discount offers. You can satisfy all your cravings. Food is delivered quickly, at the right temp, all items included and to my door versus dropping in the bldg lobby.

Yasas chicken souvlaki and dips (humus & tatziki) w/pita were delicious.

Pizza is just ok.

I went to the grand opening and am grateful for this new addition to DC! Quick and attentive service, inviting and clean atmosphere, and the food was excellent. I ordered from “Kin House” and loved every bite. I definitely recommend Wonder and will be coming back again to try the other restaurant options.
