Wolf Island Oyster Co. was such a special experience from start to finish. We went at sunset, and the atmosphere alone was worth the visit—laid-back, beautiful, and perfectly coastal without feeling forced. It felt like one of those places you instantly want to linger a little longer.
The food and staff were absolutely amazing. We had oysters and scallops for dinner, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. We also tried a side of fried shrimp, and honestly… it might have been the best fried shrimp we’ve ever had at a restaurant. Perfectly crispy, light, and seasoned just right. The grits were so good—comforting, rich, and the kind you keep thinking about after you leave.
What really stood out, though, was the interaction with the staff. Everyone was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You could tell they enjoy being there, and that energy makes such a difference. It’s sweet, relaxed, and feels more like being welcomed into someone’s favorite local spot than just another dinner out.
If you’re looking for great seafood, a stunning sunset, and an atmosphere that feels warm and effortless, Wolf Island Oyster Co. is a must. We’ll definitely be back. ✨

Visited for the 1st time on a December night. Most restaurants in the area were closing for the evening (8:00). I sat at the bar and ordered all my drinks and food. The bartender, Erin, was friendly and fantastic. She also was my server. I had a delicious salad and peel and eat shrimp. The shrimp came with a “butter” sauce; “cocktail” sauce, and a spicy sauce (franks + clarified butter). This the famous GEORGIA shrimp. It was great. Delicious light margarita with jalapeño infusion. I would highly recommend.

Redfish special recommended by our server Lorna was spectacular! Lightly blackened, served with blistered green beans and rice. Light, great seasoning, very delicious. We also had yummy Fidelity red wine, as well as key lime pie. Wish we lived closer.

We were met with friendly smiles and seated outside with a nice country field and a beautiful sunset view. The drinks were refreshing and just what I needed for such a HOT day. I really came for oyesters, and although they were a disappointment, the fish tacos made up for them. The fries and tacos were the highlights for me. All overall, a 7/10 experience and would recommend this place for a casual outting.

Before I share the “bad news” I would like to say that the staff at this restaurant were very helpful, polite, and the atmosphere was great! However, one of “us” was served the wrong fish and the second piece we had to return was “very” raw. I am a Culinary student and my companion showed me the inside of the Mahi-Mahi. It was raw and cool to.the touch. Also the oyster were rubbery and I stopped them from eating anymore. I “hate” to even post this review, because we enjoyed the night. I just want to warn everyone to make sure you check the dishes served. I will post the pic. We spoke to one staff member after eating about the raw seafood. Food poisoning can be severely dibilitating. I wouldn’t say to not visit this place. I would just check your food carefully.

Wonderful Dog Friendly patio with a nice view of the beautiful marsh! Excellent, perfect service! Our server was very nice, attentive, brought Zeus and Kodiak a big bowl of water! Even the manager was very friendly and checked in on us. The apps were fantastic, especially the crab dip!!! Love the wonderful atmosphere!

Lorna made the dinning experience great. Definitely worth checking out, the food and atmosphere were also great. You can sit out back looking at the marsh with the fog rolling in.

This is my favorite restaurant when I’m visiting SSI! The atmosphere is very cozy and the staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. The food is always amazing, from the appetizers to dessert and every bite in between. I can’t wait to go back!

We had a good server and a good meal and we enjoyed it very much. I was disappointed with the double burger though. It definitely seemed just like those frozen patties you get from the frozen section of the grocery store. Asking for a rare burger in this case is absolutely useless. The live music was lovely, and we did have a nice experience

Our group of 7 really enjoyed dinner at Wolf Island Oyster Co on this cold Saturday evening in February. We had reservations but the restaurant wasn’t completely full. The Diver Scallops were amazing and the rare tuna I tasted was also really good. Our server took excellent care of us. The gas logs made the dining room cozy, but there was a big party on the back porch, and they froze us out when they repeatedly held the door open. I would definitely recommend it, and I hope to return when I’m town again.
