Cant beat their Lunch menu, portions and price! They have some delicious chinese bottled tea (i had two!)
I would definitely come back if in the area!
Really loved the general cho chicken and their orange chicken with fried rice. The lunch specials also come with spring roll and crab puff Due to limited seating, this is great place for take-out.
They have lunch special combos, and Monday/Tuesday all-day entre specials for $9.99!! Their portions are large and shareable, but also too delicious to share! This is currently my absolute favorite restaurant.
We usually go on Monday or Tuesday, and we get the $9.99 Kung Pao chicken special, it comes with rice. We also order the egg drop soup, which is a large cup, and spring rolls (4), special egg rolls-these are the best egg rolls ! (2), and crab puffs(8), and then we split it between 2 people (there’s always enough for 2 days). We also get the Honey Walnut Chicken, which is incredible!
If you look at my photo, you can see what we get, except the Kung Pao on my plate is only about a 5th of what comes on the box.
This food is fresh and tasty, and since it’s takeout, it’s all definitely reheatable the next day.
EXCELLENT food and service. I had ordered a lunch special, *specifically* because I wanted the fried rice it comes with, because I don’t care for plain rice. She brought my food and said they were out of fried rice, so she gave me steamed instead. I didn’t want to be a Karen, so just rolled with it, although I wasn’t happy about it.
My Sesame chicken was really delicious and crispy though, so I decided to just eat that and call it a day. At some point she came and asked me how my food was and I said the chicken was really good, but I wasn’t eating the rice because I don’t like plain rice, which is why I ordered the special. She immediately went back and asked them to make some right now and brought some out for me as soon as they did. It was SO good too!! I’m so glad she asked, or I would have just not bothered with it.
Point being, she did amazing customer service… because in the beginning, she didn’t want me to have to wait for my food, so she gave me something else… but when she learned that I didn’t like that something else, she immediately fixed the problem.
Also, I got an order of their Sesame balls. I’ve never had fresh made ones like that and they were really good!! I’m obsessed with Sesame balls and haven’t found too many places that have them, so this is a great find!!
I will definitely go here again. Everything was really good. I’ll have to branch out and try other things, as I always test new Chinese places by their Sesame chicken and then if that is good, I try other things there. If not, I usually don’t go back LOL
Instead of their lunch specials, we ordered a couple of entrees. I thought General Tso Chicken was ok. I liked that it wasn’t very sweet and the breading was minimal. You could actually taste big chunks of chicken. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the Beef Lo Mein at all. I immediately smelled and tasted old oil and it was so off putting that I couldn’t eat it. It was also very bland and there were any hardly any vegetables. Even the hubs commented about the lack of vegetables.
They give you a ton of food and the prices are lower than other Chinese restaurants around here. I would rather pay a little more for good food. Unfortunately, the old oil just left a very bad taste in my mouth and I will not return here.
