We really like this buffet and have visited for years. Someone who is a meat eater can load up on meat entrees, someone else on sushi, someone who wants a bit of everything and seafood has choices too. Great assortment of sushi though not all the rolls are labeled or clear what is in each one which would be helpful for dietary preferences. Having 6 or 8 ice cream flavors for scooped ice cream is nice compared to other Asian buffets in Tucson.
Just removing one star because the restaurant and bathrooms have always been cleaner than this last visit whereas this last visit trash cans were overflowing/paper towels all over the place/floor wet.

Great experience at Wok and Roll! This Chinese buffet has a wide selection of food, and everything we tried was fresh and flavorful. The buffet was well maintained, constantly refilled, and very clean. The staff was friendly and quick to help, which made the visit even better. For the price, the quality and variety are hard to beat. If you’re looking for a solid Chinese buffet, Wok and Roll is definitely worth checking out.

I love this place. The people who run it and work here are really nice. This is one of the few places we still went to a few times during the pandemic. It’s not fancy. It’s probably not authentic. But it’s everything you want in an Asian buffet plus sushi. The food is good. The trays are regularly replenished and kept at food safe temperatures. You can eat healthy here if you want to. There is salmon, tilapia, rice, vegetables, sushi, and salad. You can also enjoy a delightful array of fried and stir-fried foods, which leans heavy on chicken as the main protein with tiny pork ribblets and the ubiquitous broccoli beef for variety. For desert, the ice cream flavors are varied and good when fresh and unmolested. Same goes for the pudding flavors which always includes tapioca (i.e. old people puddin’) fresh out of the can from Sysco. Brings back memories of waitressing when I was a teenager. Not everyone’s cup of pudding, but I like it. Very popular place for construction workers, which is a tell-tell sign that the food is good, and it’s a good deal.

Our family loves this place. We always come on weekends, because of the seafood. Food is always warm and fresh. The hot and sour soup is delicious
Nice and friendly service. Enough variety of food.
It’s a bit small parking lot, but we can park close by.

Service here is always exceptional. Incredibly kind and generous staff who are genuinely happy to offer the best service they can. I have been fortunate enough to be seated in my favorite tucked away booth the last two times I have come alone. I sometimes drive an hour and a half to come to Tucson just to come to Wok & Roll. Yesterday I was doing some other shopping as well, but when in Rome…feast.

I come from an all you can eat (AYCE) Sushi town in Reno, NV with dozens of AYCE sushi restaurants where you can custom order any roll you want.

Arizona doesn’t have that, we have Chinese Hybrid buffets. There are a lot of imitation crab and cream cheese options, as usual. Fillers are the money maker, and Wok & Roll has plenty of them, but they also offer generous and quality portions of actual meat and high quality tastes in a number of rolls, and usually a number of different Nigiri options (Salmon, Tuna, Yellowtail). Unfortunately, during this visit, only Salmon was available. Despite that, all of the sushi offerings were amazing, though I do not like Cream Cheese options so did not try those except one by mistake (despite tasting the cream cheese, the rest of it was good. I do not remember the specific roll, despite excellent labeling)

Really the only thing reducing the full 5.0 on this review was the lo main. The noodle shape and thickness just didn’t do it for me.

The oyster mushrooms were fantastic

I will definitely be back.

It was good for a Chinese buffet. The food was well stocked and lots of staff constantly checking to make sure that there was plenty of each item. We went on a Thursday from 12:00 to 1:00 and everything seemed freshly made and nothing tasted stale or soggy. The sushi was the highlight of the buffet. There was a staff behind the counter constantly putting out a good variety of sushi rolls. It was a very reasonable price for lunch and almost as fast as we finished a plate it was cleaned up for us by our waiter “Coco” and she made sure that our water was always filled.

The food (especially the sushi) is always fantastic. And take-out pricing isn’t bad either (by weight, or per piece of sushi). The service is typically good, but on several occasions it has seemed they dont have many people working the floor for refills or checking out. We waited at checkout for roughly 10 minutes last night using the take out option. That’s the only downside, and its not all the time.

Of the handful of Chinese buffets in Tucson that I’ve tried over the years, this one stands out as the best. The serving trays always appear full of hot, fresh, colorfully appetizing variety; the serving lines are clean. Everything I’ve tasted there has been yummy. They also have a sushi line, which I’ve yet to visit; maybe next time. I live on the east side and there is a Chinese buffet much closer to home, but it pales in terms of quality, variety & atmosphere, making the long drive across town to Wok & Roll well worth it.

This buffet has a good variety of food. However, some food is too old (like the green beans). I would say they wait until for so long to refill food trays. Most of the food is good with the exception of that food that sits for to much time before it’s refilled. The place is nice and spacious.

This was our first experience here at Wok & Roll Buffet. And I do Not believe it will be our last! We totally enjoyed our dinner. I have never tasted better coconut shrimp. Such a wide variety of items to choose from. I love the fresh pineapple as well. And the dumplings were so yummy. Our server was so kind as well. We loved just about everything we tried. I totally recommend it.
