I came in expecting to get Chinese style food that had better quality than Panda Express/Chinese buffets while paying more. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken and the sauce was lacking. Very salty with no hints of herbs or spices. The orange chicken was meatier than Panda Express, but the portion was meager for the $11 price tag, not even a kids meal portion. The inside is nice enough, but this place clearly needs to pick a path forward and stick with it. Either raise the price and increase quality or keep prices down and downgrade the food. This place has raised prices and serves mediocre food.

Order to go and they forgot my egg roll. Tea was also unsweet. Food was okay I feel like it’s a bit pricey for what I got which was sesame chicken and orange chicken, I also ordered whole grain rice and was told at pick up it substituted for steamed rice. All in all you can get tastier food somewhere else but they got great service.

I cant believe I am having to change this. The owner needs to change things before they lose their legacy. No green onions for soup inside. They are cheap what is the problem? Important for taste. Cashier is always super friendly. We ordered walnut shrimp and the waitress brought out a plate drowning in sauce. She noticed it and commented on it but didn’t care enough to fix it. My daughter couldnt even eat it because everything was soggy and unappealing. The rice looked like soup. The food was literally falling off the plate because of all the sides and how badly it was plated. (See pics) Waitress should have said something to cook. But she didnt care she also gave us a plate of panda express fortune cookies that were crushed and opened (see pics). Staff should care about good service.
My daughter ordered the chicken chop suey and got shrimp. The waitress took it back to change it and then her and cook started arguing about it loud enough where we could hear it. We get the chicken chop suey and there is nohing but huge peices of onion, celery mixed in with a few mushrooms. The couple of pieces of chicken that we did find were white, slimmy and just gross. We have ordered it before so my daughter was looking forward to it. This place has gone down hill. I’m getting bad food more often than good. If owner is seeing decline in profit its because of inconsistencies and poor food quality. If you bring back food to former glory everytime, I would gladly pay more. But for me to pay $60 and get gross food, I wont be going back. Sad this was one of my favorite restaurants. We used to spend 80-100 here weekly when it was good.

I have been coming to Wok Inn since the 90s. It is by far my favorite Chinese restaurant. Always flavorful and fresh. Perfect egg rolls and Rangoon. My favorite dish is the beef and broccoli.
Now that they have multiple locations, it seems like they struggle with consistency. The original restaurant off Grissom or the one off of Potranco are the only ones I will go to because I’ve tried several other locations, and they are just not the same. Back in the day 5 stars with the best fried rice. Today, they get 4 because there are times we have ordered to go and fried rice is more on bland side, or soup taste watered down. Still good just not like they had been. This is not usually case when we eat in.

I ordered online. One chicken power bowl with grains and a shrimp stir fry with half low main half grains. Got home to two chicken stir frys with white rice. I called them and the nice lady said “oh we actually don’t serve grains anymore and the cook is new so we should watch him better.”
I’m so confused… but it did taste pretty fresh. Forget the power bowl it’s just chicken stir fry.
I ask that they fix their online ordering system to reflect the products that they have and maybe read the order ticket.

This was my favorite place been going for more than 30 years. Placed an online order for delivery tonight after a long week. It took about an hour as expected on a Friday night . When I received my order it was incorrect I called to make them aware, however I spoke with a young girl and she said that manager “Daniel “ said for me to bring it back to the store I respectfully stated that I ordered online and for delivery. She then proceeded to say that’s all they could do. May I recommend yall double checking the to go orders maybe even triple checking. I am handicap and cannot leave my house.

Worst take out ever first time getting food from them. The general ts chicken was so spicy i could not taste any other flavors. The soup which was chicken corn chowder had no chicken just something that looked like eggs. Container was not even full . When i called to complain to the manger hung up on me. Horrible customer service and food. I should have know it would be bad when I walked in and they had no customers.

I visited this location twice within a 2 week time frame. The first time we came to dine in with my husband and kids after basketball practice. The sign on the door still read open and mind you it was 8pm and they close at 9pm, so we entered approached the register. As I start to order my food, the cook walks out of the kitchen and informs the newly employed cashier that they are no longer taking orders and pretty much run us off. Needless to say we went to the Alamo Ranch location where they gladly waited on us.
Now fast forward to Saturday 2/15, I call in an order for pick up. I send my 11 yo son in to pay and get the order since my daughter was asleep in the car. I noticed he was in there for a while and everyone who went in after him was coming out. I decided to park right in front of the glass door to see what was going on. I just see my son standing at the register with no one acknowledging him. I signaled to him to come back as he did. That’s when he explains to me that he told the cashier he told her he was there to pick up an order for Jackie. She asked him are you Jackie when he stated no that’s my mom, she told him then you can tell your mom to come get it. She refused to wait on him and ignored him as if he was not a human with feelings! That’s when I went inside confronted her and canceled my order.
I then called the restaurant hoping the manager would be empathetic and professional, instead I only ended up talking to someone that kept making excuses for his rude and insensitive staff.
I used to love this location been going for over 20 years, but thanks to these professionals I will never eat at your establishment again and neither will my friends and family! Do better Wok Inn!
