We had an awesome dinner at the Wissota Chophouse, our first visit, and were thoroughly pleased with the food and service. Everything was top-notch, particularly the steak and lobster entrees. The fried goat cheese appetizer with raspberry sauce and the truffle fries with blue cheese and bacon were outstanding. The desserts are excellent and the coffee is particularly good. We recommend them highly and look forward to going back!

So good! We came very late on a Friday night and the place was empty. But for us, that was great! Very chill and low noise atmosphere! Valerie was our waitress and she was so sweet! The service was excellent and the food was amazing! We shared a pretzel and then both had the Wissota burger and both were delicious! We got a half slice of chocolate cake to go, but that half slice was still huge! We will definitely be back the next time we are in Cullman.

I had such high hopes and was extremely disappointed. Start off saying the gator and ceasar salad were amazing. My husband and I ‘s porterhouse steaks were so SALTY… I could hardly eat it without making a face. We got truffle mac and cheese and truffle fries. Neither one came out with truufles. Then to top it all off we were not even offered dessert more like an offer to hurry up and get out the door. We had an 8:00 reservation. The waiter did ask how our meal was and my husband said edible, as soon as the waiter heard that his attitude changed. All we got was an I’m sorry, not how can we improve.
If you are going to charge the prices that are being charged everything that comes out of the kitchen should be top tier. Needless to say we will not return, I can’t stomach paying the money for an ok meal.

If they had a zero star for food they would recieve it. I paid $80 for a Ihop quality steak that didn’t even taste as good as the Ihop steak. Then ordered truffle fries and they had no truffles on them just plain fries for $12. Wife got truffle mac and cheese again no truffles. We had a 8 pm reservation 9 pm they were rushing us out didn’t even offer us dessert. Had to keep asking for refills. Spent $300 for me and my wife to eat and honestly for the first time in my life feel like I got robbed! I would absolutely avoid this place if you want a good steak! Ps if you want a awsome Ceasars salad go and order it and leave!

I said the staff here was remarkable and the food was everything beyond what I thought it was going to be. I would definitely recommend this place. I went for a special occasion to celebrate my girlfriends birthday and they did not disappoint. Ms. Val was out waitress and dotted every I and crossed every T. They have new chefs and a new menu and cosign both …. Check them out and you will not be disappointed!!!!

Ate here with a group of 8 and the food was average at best. I had the 14oz Ribeye cooked medium. It was thin (maybe 3/8 of an inch) and gristley. The steak had no flavor at all…. No salt, no nothing. It was charged on the outside. Like I said, average at best. The pretzel app was really good, as was the bacon truffle Mac/cheese butfor a high end steakhouse, I expected a lot better of my $50+ steak.
Additionally, they were out of several menu items and on person in our party had to order 3 times before finding something they actually had on the menu.

So I agree with most other reviews that this place has so much potential but it’s falling short. We started out with the charcuterie board appetizer which was good and had a good variety. We have paid a lot more for less. For dinner we ordered the ribeye($54), the dry aged ribeye($109), asparagus, Brussels sprouts, and risotto. My wife’s ribeye was good but not as tender as you would expect on a high dollar cut. I had the dry aged ribeye and that’s were it took a turn for the worse. As soon as the plate came I could smell the odor coming from the meat. It smelled spoiled. I took one bite and had to spit it out. It tasted spoiled. It was like chewing vinegar. I’ve ate lots of dry aged meat but never had anything taste remotely like this steak. I’m normally not the type to say anything but when they asked I told told them it tasted spoiled. They replied it would have that flavor due to the dry age…I doubt it. We didn’t ask for a discount or a new steak. It was more to let them know it’s bad. No offer to check the meat just it will taste like that. I’m not sure anyone would enjoy that flavor. The sides are a good portion for the price. The sides were 4/5 to me. Overall we won’t be back anytime soon as you can get a much better steak at other places locally for a better price.

We had such a nice evening at Wissota Chophouse in Cullman, AL. The food was fabulous (soft pretzel, pork chop, wedge salad, and Wissota burgers…. All amazing)! But what made our evening the best was the atmosphere and the staff! Josie and Heather were attentive, friendly, helpful and so pleasant! We have stayed here the last two years on our stop through from Ohio to Gulf Shores. Love it here and highly recommend!!

When I called to make reservations the host was very accommodating for our party of eight. The restaurant is not very large. They have a nice selection of wine and signature cocktails. We had a variety of appetizers, salads and soups, all were good. Everyone had steak of some variety, no complaints. We had all looked over the menu before arriving, so we were prepared for the check total. Yes it is a bit pricey , it is also an upscale restaurant.
