We all have been told, Never judge a book by it’s cover. Wise Guys Pizzeria and Pub is a shining example of that metaphorical phrase. When you approach, you are greeted by a lovely patio setting. When you walk through the entrance this is where the Metamorphosis happens, you step back into time, I time of dark woods, low amber lighting, exposed brick and wonderful private booths. The service was slow, good and then tapered off. The wait staff uses warming welcoming phrases to let you know you’ll be taken care of. The pizza is good, there is adequate sauce, cheese and other toppings of your liking. The drinks seem to be ample. Overall this was a wonderful experience that I wouldn’t mind revisiting from time to time.

We had the coco hand tossed pizza, bruschetta appetizer, drinks, and loved it all! Highly recommend for an upscale pizza restaurant!

My husband and I had such a wonderful time here! The food was delicious (I could have just dined on the cheesy garlic bread alone) and the atmosphere was cozy and warm. I want to especially shout out our server Dell, who took such good care of us. His kindness really made our night special. Thank you Dell!

Wiseguys is my go-to pizza spot in the Fox Valley. The pizza is always on point. We love the coco hand tossed pizza with a few extra marinara sauces on the side. The crust and sauce never disappoint. Wiseguys wings and cheese curds are legit too. The whole place has a great vibe. Love the decor, cozy, friendly, and never pretentious. Huge shoutout to Robbie John behind the bar. He always remembers your name, your drink and makes great conversation.

It’s actually been about a year or two since we have eaten here last, despite the fact that it is less than a quarter mile from our home. When we did eat there, the food was very good, fresh and delivered by servers who really took care of us. I, without a doubt, would recommend people give this place a try if you have not yet.
About the only somewhat negative that I can think of is the fact that their hours seem somewhat inconsistent. There have been several times where we wanted to run up there for a quick dinner only to find them closed.
Oh, and they dropped that awesome Italian sausage burger / sandwich from the menu a few years ago and I keep hoping they will bring it back. LOL

Good stuffed Chicago style pizza. It does take a while to make it, so if you’re really hungry plan on ordering an appetizer. We had garlic bread this time, but we have also enjoyed the mozzarella sticks and split a salad. We went at 5:30 on a Friday and were able to be seated right away. The dining area has always been dark and cozy, but with March Madness going on they were playing basketball on most of the tvs. Like halfway through our meal they turned up the volume so much so that the conversation at our table turned to shouting to be able to hear each other. They have a good drink menu here, and when the weather is nice they have a patio that they allow you to bring your dog to while you eat . Also on Fridays they have fish fry options on the menu as well.

The service was amazing, our waitress was so sweet! The lower rating is for the main reason we were-the pizza. Very burnt on the bottom- the crust and bottom were a little hard from being over cooked. Pizza was alright otherwise!

Walking in we were greeted immediately and she set us down at a table. Our server caner shorty after to get our drinks. We ordered cheese bread and motz sticks along with two sausage, Pepperoni, onion pizzas. Food took a little longer than than expected for the amount of people but could have had alot of takeouts. When the apps came the cheese we were a little disappointed as it was just a piece of toast with cheese on it and motz sticks two were hollow and had no cheese in them.. When the pizzas came they looked great! Pizza had nice ratio of topping to sauce. Really no complaints on the pizza. The apps I prob will not get for the price of them. Over all good pizza, good atmosphere, if in the area would come back.

I was looking for some good pizza. I didn’t want the cookie cutter chain style pizza. This place is definitely legit. I went with the hand tossed and it did not disappoint. Perfect balance of chewy/crunchy crust. I really enjoyed the cheesy goodness.
Keep up the good work. This is definitely my new favorite in the valley.
