We stopped in after visiting Taliesin and we were glad we did. It’s a short ride into town and worth it. My wife and I each got a sandwich and added the salad bar. It was two meals for the price of one. We filled up on soup and salad and each left with our sandwiches. I felt like we beat the house on this deal. I got the Turkey Pesto Panini and it was cooked very well. The best part is both sandwiches held up well for our 1 hour ride back to Rockford IL where we were staying. I highly recommend going here if you’re in the area. Really nice staff, clean and very affordable.

Excellent location to sit and watch the river flow. Food was very good; Italian Wrap and Turkey Reuben. We watched a group of four walk across the channel to a small island. Beautiful views all around!

Amazing food!! The staff is so friendly and makes amazing drinks at the bar! Took a little while for the food to come out but gave us time to eat our appetizer and drink while we talked! The place is gorgeous and is great to watch the water while you drink and talk with friends. Highly recommend!!

This is a no frills type of restaurant. Kind of a hometown cafe in the form of a resort restaurant. It has an ever so slightly uncomfortable atmosphere. The staff were helpful. The food was pretty good, but I wouldn’t drive out here just for it. I did really enjoy the garlic parmesan fries.

Lovely interior. Great view from the dining room, but obscured at times by patrons who needed to smoke.
Two of us had burgers and they were great, however we spent the entire time swatting flies we were told are coming in from doors on the water side.
Old Fashioneds are a favorite. We were quite disappointed in their version. It was soda and cherry juice. When asked, we were surprised they didn’t try to remake and improve. We asked them to refund one of two drinks and they did, which we appreciated.
We were really looking forward to this place but can’t recommend based on our experience. I think they might need to consider a designated smoking area that isn’t directly in front of the dining room windows, additional training for the bartender who was working the bar on Oct 8th, both in technical and soft skills, and try to implement something to reduce flies in the dining area.

Food was okay, salad bar was out of lettuce and almost totally out of spinach. The prime rib was cooked well, but personally found it a bit tasteless. The atmosphere was awesome with gorgeous views, and the drinks were really good! I’d say worth a visit!

Stopped in to have lunch here today. I had the Hybird Burger, with Sweet Potato fries, and salad bar. The Salad bar is your basic all you can eat salad bar with most of the “typical” fixings. Everything I had seemed fresh and tasted as a salad should. My Burger and Sweet Potato Fries were fantastic!!! The Hybrid Burger had a jalapeño, BBQ, Jack Cheese, mix with Bacon on it. The Sweet Potato Fries were some of the biggest and best fries I have ever had, they were delicious. Also they served this with a home made southwest type of dip for the burger and fries. I liked it so much I asked for more of the dip. The view I had today was of the Wisconsin River and the river valley. The atmosphere was friendly, inviting, and I really liked it. I will definitely stop back in here again.

It is seldom that I dole out a five star review and this place didn’t seem too special prior to visiting; however, I left completely satisfied. I had perhaps the best chicken wrap of my life and even contemplated coming back later in the day for a second round. Even if the food was average, the beautiful outdoor patio and pricing would be worthy of a return.
