Husband and son recommended this place on their way through from Nebraska to Bismarck. The young gentleman behind the counter was happy and kind to explain what sidewinder potatoes were, I had no idea! Delicious with the cheese dip! Son loves the mac n cheese and tenders were great!

Came here on our way from Sioux Fall back to Rapid City. Saw it on Facebook from a friend who had been here and being a lover of fried chicken decided to take the back roads to try it. Glad we did!! Everything was great!! The chicken was hot, crispy, and succulent – and I had white meat, so that is saying a lot! The coleslaw was slightly sweet, the way my mom used to make it 🙂 and their fries!! Oh not to mention the caramel pecan chocolate cheesecake!!
The food is homemade, the service is exceptional, and the owner, Mr. Duane, is one of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet- Winner Chicken Dinner is worth the trip!!
There is road construction right now, so just go around the back. We were the only ones eating inside but it was continuously busy with people coming in for their orders or picking up orders at drive-through.
You know it’s good when the locals keep them busy!

Great place for chicken, given its location. Very crispy. Simple basic menu. The coleslaw could use some work, and the chicken was good. I ordered the 4pc Dinner. See photos. Definitely coming back if I’m craving chicken. Happy to see it’s not a big chain store.

I am writing this review out of pure disgust due to the circumstances involved. The family of a loved one was given a gift card that was used for a large family meal following a tragedy and the service.
The first problem was that the online menu prices didn’t match the in store prices by a lot. When questioned the response was given that this web site was taken care of in a foreign country. Excuse, yes, satisifaction no. The food was ordered and delivery time specified. Some of the family had long drives to return home so an on time delivery was imperative, and assured. This was a large order on a relatively busy homecoming weekend, so the order was put in and paid for over 48 hours early. The meal was not delivered on time so a phone call was made to the buisness. The worst possible senerio then unfolded. The staff was confused and had a difficult time just confirming the order was placed and requested for a specific delivery time. When the food did finally arrive almost an hour late, the driver remained in the car and one of the guests had to go out to the curb and retrieve the food. This was a very stressful situation. Especially under the circumstances. Personally I believe that( Winner Chicken Dinner) showed incompetence from the bottom all of the way to the top. An apology was given, but was that satisfactory for the level of incompetence and lack of professionalism? I don’t think so. Will the website be kept up to date from now on? The meal was over half again as expensive as posted online. This was not a small or minor inconvenience to the family that put their trust in your business and employees hands. Advice for the future. Do your best to make this right. Show the unsatisfied customer that you appreciate the patronage, and walk the blanking food to the blanking door after a catastrophic disaster like that. I was generous and still gave you 3 stars. Do better!

Winner!! Winner! So GLAD we stopped driving from Minneapolis via Sioux Falls to Denver. Loved Loved the crispy well seasoned fried chicken. Very tender. We took more for leftovers. Have not had sidewinders for years. And just the perfect tangiest in potato salad. Happy delightful customer service from Cassandra & Jenny

Nothing fancy, just great chicken, sweet coleslaw. You must get the fries- so good. Also loved the cheesecake. I will definitely stop here again. Outside dining tables. Good service.

Friendly staff. Fast service. Small town atmosphere. Looked to be seating for maybe 14 inside with several picnic benches outside. Chicken was crispy outside and juicy inside like most people prefer. We had 2 sides of coleslaw and Mac and cheese. Mac and cheese sauce was probably out of a jug but it was tasty enough. Coleslaw was good. Chicken needed some spices. Not looking for hot. Just a little more flavor. Pricing was fair. I would eat here again if i was in town but we drove an hour from Nebraska to try it out. Probably wouldn’t make the trip just for the chicken.

We both had the 4-piece chicken dinner. I chose mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. Hubby picked mashed potatoes and Cole slaw. Chicken was crispy, juicy, and delicious. Sides were equally good. If you’re in or around Winner, SD be sure to check it out!
