I live far and I will be retuning.
Our order was finally ready at 1:35pm.
Sooo, the food – fries were good, wings were also ok, but the thigh bites were poorly covered with sauce (see photos) and looked like they were rushed. Lots of areas on the thigh bites with no sauce on them.
All in all, we’ll be looking for a better run place to get wings in the future and recommend you skip/avoid this location if you want your food on time and done well!
I showed up 20-minutes AFTER my scheduled time. They were an hour behind, fine.
Waited my full hour and 30-minutes to find out that:
1. They were still ACTIVELY accepting orders online, via door dasher and via phone.
2. All door dash orders were getting priority processing (DD drivers in and out within a 20-minutes). As I type this DD is showing a 46-minute wait time.
3. The staff REFUSED to answer any questions (ie. What order time are you working on?)
4. The staff refused to start a paid order unless you checked in with them (adding another 60-75 minutes to the wait).
5. Just getting to the counter to cancel or put your name in was an act of congress stretching upwards of an hour alone.
6. There was no rhyme or reason as to how they were processing orders (ie. by promise time). The stack of orders was chaotically mixed together.
7. Despite multiple asks, the staff (one member in particular) refused to call out the names for orders that were, in fact, done and on the shelf for pickup. The customers ended up reading them and shouting them to those waiting outside. This led to one name being called – the customer actually being on-site and when he tried to collect the order, the staff member blatantly told him “it’s NOT here”, despite all of us correcting her and pointing to the order. This customer then spent the next 10-minutes trying to retrieve his order….. which ended up being handled by ANOTHER staff member (whom picked it up off the shelf and handed it to him).
I ended up leaving at the two-hour mark with no food.
I’ve used Wingstop on several occasions, including Super Bowl, however this was absolutely infuriating.
With being able to order online it would be great to have someone available to hand you your food, rather than keeping you waiting when someone is trying to decide what to order. They were there ahead of the pick up person and should definitely be taken care of first.
However, the carryout order is getting cold. With this in mind, the person taking care of the done in window, could also take care of the carryout order, helping their food to stay hot and tasty!
