Our wings were hot and tasty.
My husband is very pleased and already planning which flavors he’ll order for football in the Fall.
Thank you for opening in Rockledge.
I lived in Tampa for a few years, and when a new WingStop opened up it became the go-to place for my roommate and I. The wings were always fresh, juicy, and flavorful. So far, this location has not matched that quality. Been here 3 times so far, and each time the food is…. okay.
Brought that same person who used to be my roommate with me this last visit to see if maybe he had different thoughts, but we agreed. The main 2 issues we had are as follows:
1) Sauce. Wings aren’t sauced enough. Out of 10 BBQ wings, only one could be considered “fully coated”, the rest had 30-70% of the wing un-sauced. Just looked like plain boneless wings with a little bit of bbq brushed onto one side.
2) Salty. My old roommate and I both LOVE salt. Absolute salt fiends. But after a few (garlic parm) wings, both of us agreed that the wings were incredibly salty, and it really started affecting our enjoyment. Not sure if it was the Garlic Parm blend, something in the ranch, or just the breading, but that salty flavor builds up and just downs out everything.
Overall, I think it could be better, because I’ve been there when it WAS better. Maybe the recipes have changed over the years, or being outside of downtown Tampa means they have to work on smaller margins. Hope some day they’ll get to the quality that I used to love.
