So I am normally a huge fan of fresh cut fries, but these were not cooked through. I’m guessing they weren’t par cooked and then fried a second time (which is the best way to handle fresh cut), but they were still hard in the center. That’s after waiting a long time for the food. The flavor was good so it’s unfortunate they didn’t get the proper cook time.
I got the Hot Buffalo wings and the “Spicy Korean Q” wings. The buffalo wings were cooked. Cooked nicely, nice size to the wing (not too big or too small), there was a good coating of sauce, and there was an even blend of flats to drums. I also enjoyed the blue cheese here, it was not too chunky or too watery. This combo was honestly very enjoyable. The Spicy Korean Q wings also had a nice flavor to them, but I didn’t find these to really have any spice at all. Felt like a one dimensional sauce which was upsetting because I’m a big fan of sweet heat. Had there been any kick to these at all I would have been even more pumped. It’s not that I didn’t like them, I just thought the name was a bit misleading.
10 wings/fries/fountain drink was $17 before tax. Felt a little steep to me but wing prices these days are all over the place so I guess I could have known that was coming. I would definitely go back, I’d like to try out some other sauces and see how their chicken sandwich is. Wingstop Didn’t Suck…but there are some easy improvements that could be made that would really step this spot up.
The breading had a wondrous texture. It was crispy and relatively thick but not hard, and the chicken was really good. My fiance loved the fries but I wasn’t crazy about them because they tasted a little… soggy, I guess?
When the employee finally started taking the order, he spoke very quietly, showed no interest in helping us, and had a very bad attitude. He slammed our drink cups down on the counter and did not give us a receipt. The worst part was when our food was ready: he grabbed the bag and threw it toward us without saying anything, then turned around and walked away. On top of that, the food bag was soaked in grease, and we were not given any napkins. The employee who attended us was slim, dark-skinned, and fairly tall.
This level of customer service was unacceptable. Employees should treat customers with basic respect, regardless of the time of night.
These guys have been phoning it in on delivery for a long time. Forgetting ranch all the time is one thing but this time I ordered garlic parm and there’s barbecue sauce on there wings. Like they threw em in sauce, washed them off and tried to cover it up? Disgusting
