A friend and I stopped in to the Wings Bar & Grill inside the Wingate last night for a late dinner since my flight was delayed prior to going to the airport. This was a hidden gem of a find. The lady working the bar was very quick to greet us and ask for our drink order. She then returned with our drinks and menus. We placed our orders (2 separate orders of 10 wings), which was quickly delivered to us and were provided with well over 10 wings each (more like 14-15 wings).

Although I really didn’t want fried food and would have preferred grilled options with veggies, the chicken tenders and fries were the most delicious I’ve ever had. Many thanks to the cook in the back who was hit suddenly with a bunch of orders as a swarm of people came in at once, and they got the food out quickly– seemingly effortlessly– and cooked to perfection. I’d also like to thank the server, who was solo and she served everyone with warmth and speed.

For a hotel bar, the food and drinks were excellent! There was a huge group of us stranded at this hotel due to the weather, and the two women managing the restaurant ran NONSTOP getting food and drinks for everyone. Their service was so spectacular that I was motivated to write this review.

As soon as I walked through the door, I was greeted by the bartender Rachel. She was very nice and great person to talk to while my dine in. She suggested I get the patty melt and boy was it delicious! Whenever I’m back in the area, I’m making it my business to revisit. Thank you very much for the hospitality.

The area in between the barstools and the bar has not been cleaned in some time. Service was non existent. You have to request a napkin or you don’t get one. The menu is fried food and a few salad offerings. When I inquired about what was in the salad I was told cabbage. The prices are high and what they provide is not enjoyable.
