Although I really didn’t want fried food and would have preferred grilled options with veggies, the chicken tenders and fries were the most delicious I’ve ever had. Many thanks to the cook in the back who was hit suddenly with a bunch of orders as a swarm of people came in at once, and they got the food out quickly– seemingly effortlessly– and cooked to perfection. I’d also like to thank the server, who was solo and she served everyone with warmth and speed.

As soon as I walked through the door, I was greeted by the bartender Rachel. She was very nice and great person to talk to while my dine in. Current menu has nothing to choose from and pricey. Ginger(server) was very nice but the only one working besides the chef. Apparently you’re not allowed to charge the bill to your room anymore. They also closed early. Not very good communication with the hotel.

For a hotel bar, the food and drinks were excellent! There was a huge group of us stranded at this hotel due to the weather, and the two women managing the restaurant ran NONSTOP getting food and drinks for everyone. Their service was so spectacular that I was motivated to write this review.

A friend and I stopped in to the Wings Bar & Grill inside the Wingate last night for a late dinner since my flight was delayed prior to going to the airport. This was a hidden gem of a find. The lady working the bar was very quick to greet us and ask for our drink order. She then returned with our drinks and menus. We placed our orders (2 separate orders of 10 wings), which was quickly delivered to us and were provided with well over 10 wings each (more like 14-15 wings).
Friendly, fast, courteous, and clean. If you need to kill an hour or two before your flight out of DTW, this is a solid place to do it.
