It was a slow time of night. Someone did ask if I wanted a seat quickly, but that’s where it went downhill. I sat down and had to grab a menu. Then I waited for over 10 minutes for someone to serve me. For as slow of a night as it was it was disappointing. The food did come out quickly and the food was good.

I was traveling for work and Buffalo Wings and Rings was conveniently located outside my hotel. I’m often suspicious of restaurants, in or adjacent to hotels, but I thought I would give it a try. I was so happily surprised with the amazing service (Anna & Mary) and great food. I loved that they had grilled boneless wings with dry rub as it is a healthier option, which allowed me the opportunity to savor a few Fried Pickles. Everything in balance. Great service and food. There are plenty of televisions for watching games, and it’s a great place to do that. While I’m in the area, I’ll probably spend at least one day a week in Wings and Rings. However, I’m not sold on their wings. My first two visits I ordered the smoked wings with the Blueberry BBQ sauce. During a recent visit to watch the NFL playoffs, I ordered the Smokehouse BBQ wings (fried and served with the sauce on the wings). When you order the smoked wings, the sauce is provided in a ramekin giving you the freedom to do it your way.
I prefer the smoked wings over the sauce version because there was so much sauce it made them messy to eat. I must admit that this may be a local tradition or preference I’m ignorant of, but I didn’t enjoy it. My issue with the sauce that may also be a local tradition or specialty of Wings and Rings, is they take a base sauce and add in a flavoring or another sauce to create the flavor profile. In the case of the Blueberry BBQ sauce, it comes across as BBQ sauce with Blueberry syrup poured into it. It’s a weird sensation the first time you experience it. I think it would be delicious if it were cooked into the sauce, but this is how they present it.
The smoked wings are great because they’re good as is and they’re a much healthier choice. They’re not fried or smothered in sauce. I’m sure there are those who could be critical of the smoked wings, but I liked them and I’ll have them again. The only thing you have to worry about is the inventory. You can’t smoke wings like you can fry them, so if they run out of them, unfortunately you won’t be able to order them. All in all, Wings and Rings is a great place to watch the game, have a drink and the food is pretty good, but the wings will be a different experience than you’re used to getting. I’ll be going back to try other sauces and I look forward to seeing if I’m eventually sold on Wings and Rings’ wings.
To share my opinion of the service from the staff. They’ve all been very friendly and did their job. However, on my first visit, a server named Sam took care of me and my coworker, and he was awesome! He got all the games we wanted on in strategic locations, and he was very attentive, professional, and personable. In my past life of managing salespeople and points of distribution, I would’ve given Sam my card and attempted to bring him onto my team.

It is Saturday Jan 30 and altho we got a foot of snow, it has been plowed so no problem getting here. Today there is one young woman working here. She is the bartender, waitress and to go order person. She is very nice but no way she can handle this. We sat at the bar and ordered a beer, a drink, 5 smoked wings and fries. She had no idea how to make the drink and couldn’t find the ingredients and garnishes. We got the 5 smoked wings but clearly they are smoked and then reheated in the fryer to order, they ate very dry. We got blue cheese but no celery. Never got fries. Really a bad situation to put this young woman in. They get one star for cleanliness and cold Cincy Light on tap. To bad as there are 3 hotels and a movie theater in the parking lot.

I’m gonna give it a benefit of a doubt because we came during the day and there seemed to be like 3 people max working there but we waited a long time for the food and it was the worst wings and rings I’ve ever had. It was still pretty good but just not the quality I expect from them and you could tell the food had been sitting out for a while. Like I said I think there was only 1 server so maybe no one’s fault except whoever does scheduling. I’ve worked restaurants I know how it is. Hopefully it’s ran better most the time, only been to this particular location once.

Fried pickles and their local beer are amazing. Our waitress AJ provided exceptional service. Nice comfortable atmosphere. Wings were cooked perfectly and the honey hot sauce is super tasty. Atomic sauce has a nice kick to it. Potato wedges were nicely seasoned. Definitely plan to come back again for sure.

Wings are OK but everything else is so-so. Service was ok but we didn’t appreciate the server doubling the tip on our credit card to $17 on a $45 tab (37%) when we gave a reasonable 18%($8.50). Keep your receipts and check your card.

We stopped going for quite awhile due to slow service. Husband and I thought we would try again. Took awhile to be seated and then someone to take our order 15 minutes later still no beer I tired to get the attention of someone I thought was the manager and got ignored. I asked the young lady who took our order to cancel it and we walked out. My husband and I use to go there several times a week and now we won’t be back at all. We keep trying to give them another chance and are disappointed every time.

Place is clean and empty and there is a reason why. The food is very bland and the service is slow as well as business. We sat at a booth where the kitchen was visible and we spotted one of the cooks with her hair down without a hat nor a hairnet on her head. UNSANITARY. We also noticed our food being ready on the kitchen window but our server was at another booth playing on her phone. I ordered boneless wings that had a very thick layer of fat and the sauce was very watery. This felt like a huge downgrade from roosters’s which for less the cost gives you more chicken on the wings and better flavor. Will probably not come back to this place when there is better options out there.
