Mga kababayan ko,

Let me save you time, money, and energy. Do not waste your time driving up here like we did.
The Wing Commander Restaurant/Bar that serves Pilipino Food is NOT THIS! This is not a sit down restaurant, it is literally a TAKE OUT ONLY!
It is a kitchen “hub” for multiple different “to go” “restaurant.”

FOOD: We ordered the classic Pork Sinigang (with rice), and fried Pork Belly. The Pork Belly is “Makunat” and the Sinigang is not satisfying at all, it tastes like the spices left the chat.

The Pilipino Pork BBQ on a stick is literally just a grilled pork on a stick with American BBQ sauce dumped on it, after it was cooked.

The Chicken Wings tastes like it was fried in the same cooking oil as FISH. We could taste the fishy flavor.

Price: Overpriced!

SERVICE: Service is slower than slow, (It took 1:52 minutes from the time we ordered, until the food was ready), the young lady at the front desks is very apologetic, she said, there’s only ONE cook at the back.

If you looking for a fun family dinner together, this is NOT it. The food will disappoint your Lola.

The interior of this restaurant needs to be updated. It has a very smoky smell which they’re trying to cover up with incense which just makes it worse. The staff were all friendly. They have a fairly extensive menu if you like Philippine food. We ordered wings to go and they were cooked perfectly. The wings were of good size and juicy. It’s a sports bar so there were plenty of different TVs showing different football games. Everyone inside seem to be happy.

The sound on the microphones just make you have even more fun during karaoke lol. Will definitely be returning and telling a friend

Location is so hard to find, we turn around at least 3 times before we could find this place, when we finally found it they are close! even though they said online it’s open, Such a waste of time!!! they need to update their website clearly so people wont go there if they are not even open!!! so disappointed! I also added the picture of this place so other people can see the location so I could help at least the people who wanted to go to this place.

I’m suprised I haven’t reviewed this place sooner because before COVID I went here all the time. I’ve also been reacquainted with them this spring/summer. I grew up in an area that had a lot of establishments serving Filipino cuisine so when I found Wing Command I was overly excited. Anytime I’m craving lumpia I head there. More recently I’ve been indulging in the chicken lumpia and it’s always served hot (try it with the fish sauce. The lechon kwali is also a huge fave of my boyfriend and I (it’s the perfect ratio of crisp and fat but wouldn’t recommend if you’re dieting lol). They also have great wings (duh), the hot garlic is my favorite sauce. I even tried their boneless wings most recently and wasn’t disappointed. The establishment is a bar but it is spacious to where I’ve never been seated next to another party when I dine in.

Cons:
-Their hours can vary
-It’s sometimes easier to dine in or place a to go order in person if they’re busy
-The crowd size and type can vary if there’s events going on (football games, fight nights, karoake, bands, etc). I’d recommend double checking for events that may be going on if you’re hoping for a quiet meal or experience

Pros:
-All of the servers I’ve experienced here have been great. We had Ellie this past weekend and she was super sweet and did a great job for it only being her 3rd week working there
-Happy Hour (used to be til 8pm but now it’s til 7pm)
-Great food & great value
-Outdoor seating

Wing Command is OK. The chicken is fine. Filipino food is average. Nothing great here, especially not the service. The first time I was here we came early evening and was served by a gentleman who was attentive. We sat outside. The second time we (party of 6) sat inside at really sticky tables. We were served by a woman with blonde hair. I ordered Filipino food which took over an hour to come out. The french fries for the kids took even longer that she cautioned they were hot.. they were not. Unfortunately, not very satisfied with this visit. Pics are of the lava cake and halo halo. I do not recommend getting these. Lava cake is spongey, tasted like frozen chocolate jello. Halo halo doesn’t have enough milk to even “halo” and the ingredients were sad. 🙁

I might have come on a busy night. However, by I recommendation from a local friend they had the best wings and Filipino food, I was disappointed. The food didnt come out for an hour, the waitress didnt get me my dessert I ordered and they ran out of flats. I noticed a lot of people waiting to be served, waited, or at the door. I got the pancit and the large was more of a small and not very flavorful.

Just placed a to-go order and the restaurant is not even at the west broad location. Note, the hours are posted and you’re still able to access their menu and purchase food. I definitely need my money back!

Update:
Owner called me and apologized for the misunderstanding. Apparently they were at the location but nobody was at the front desk to notify them. Food was delicious.
