Not cheap but definitely not expensive. Two item with white rice is worth it for a couple small meals or a very large one.
I ordered the deep-fried salt and pepper shrimp, chicken wings (which were a bit under-seasoned and greasy), and their Chinese sticky rice, which lacked flavor and needed soy sauce to enhance it.
Surprisingly, these three dishes at half a pound each totaled $32, which was a bit higher than expected. They accept credit cards but require a minimum of $15 minimum.
The parking in the area is always an issue. No free lots. While convenient for locals, it’s not worth going out of the way for given the many other comparable options nearby.
Love this area .. Small Chinatown.
Love this place .. reasonable price n tasty. Love their Black bean Pork, Vegetables n Chicken n Steam Rice .. tasty n satisfying
Next door is their Dim Sum .. there’s always a line. Love the Pork, Shrimp, big size . They ran out of Mochi with Sesame n sugar inside.
Nice stroll .. New stores opened up
Didn’t have time to go Kamei … For bowls ….
You’ll likely get scraps/bones if you aren’t Asian/Chinese.
There has been several times where I’ll wait patiently in line, only to get overtalked and skipped in line by someone Asian behind me.
You’ll watch them double-pile the plates of the Asian customers (especially if you can communicate with them in Chinese), while majority of everyone else just gets sloppy plates.
Clement BBQ is literally 1 block away, and I’ll 100% go there every single time over this place. Never once experienced racism/trash customer service from them, and they’re more flexible with the combos.
Then she said “We don’t give napkins and utensils to you unless you order rice or food that require chopsticks!”
What kind of rule is that? Do you expect every customer to use their hand to eat the chicken? (If you don’t understand cantonese, you won’t pick up on her unnecessary comments)
5 : Rest of the friendly female and one male were wonderful. They handed me napkins and utensils with excellent servive. Their food was good and worth the price
When it was my turn I took out my phone credit card for paperless payment. The phone need to be slanted for it to work. She said try again. Then she grab my phone said “Debit no credit!” Couldn’t she have said they only accept debit card instead of touching my phone?
