It started many years ago but truly became the epitome of wing perfection in 2008 when the Hartleys’ and Jones’ joined forces to get the secret spot for the best wings in Charlotte out to the public and not just the locals. We added 2 more locations in 2009 with Lancaster, SC and 2010 in Fort Mill, SC. We search out unique, local-lovin’ locations that allow us to offer fantastic food, friendly service at a reasonable price. We have truly loyal regulars that spread the word of our great atmosphere and honestly the best wings around! We do fresh, made to order food just the way you like. However, we are not a “fast food” restaurant!

My wife and I have been enjoying Wing King of Fort Mill for years now. It’s a perfect location to eat in, or to call ahead after a tough day at work and order your meal for pickup on the way by. Service has always been top-notch, even in the rare instances that we’ve had an issue. It might be a little on the pricey side, but you really do get what you pay for. Nice meaty wings, decent portions that will leave you with leftovers, and a desire to return in the future. Their blue cheese sauce, if you care for such, is second to none, and I’ve eaten at quite a few places and their blue cheese dipping sauces never hold a candle to Wing King’s secret recipe. One Friday evening when we ate in, there was even a live game of name that song that was an enjoyable treat for my wife and myself. Will return, again and again.

We chose this place for wings because this is where the locals go. Excellent choice! Great service and wings! Sauces were so good we bought 2 Mason jars of 2 of their handmade sauces to take home. Highly recommend!

To start off, the server gave us dirty menus. She put two menus in front of me; both of them had crumbs and sauce on them. Clearly, you guys don’t clean items before giving them to the next customer. Do you think I want to read a menu with other people’s old food in my face? Do better. I ordered a hamburger, and the bread looked old, ashy, and dry. It also tasted old. Never again!

First-ever visit to WK was with a couple of vets on Veterans Day (no idea if there is a vet/mil discount because we didn’t ask and no one offered). The server was very kind and attentive. Drinks are bottomless, big pours. We shared a huge plate of 25 wings in 5 different flavors (highly recommend for a party of 3!) Plus a side of fried pickles (be prepared to take home leftovers!). We also ordered the chili con queso app that was advertised on the table, which purported to have chili in it, but I’m afraid ours was just congealed cheese with stale chips. Highly recommend the 24-karat Gold sauce, which is basically buffalo with a strong vinegar flavor. We also got southwestern, sweet chili, Cajun garlic, and medium, all of which were good but 24-kt was my fave. The napkins are super thin, so be prepared to go through ten or more! Mercifully, they brought us wet naps for the post-lunch cleanup. FYI: All wings are gluten free except for the breaded Southern ones.

Ordered appetizer and food. Appetizer was the only thing served correctly. After waiting for the entrees (35+ mins) they sat our food down at another table. Then took it back to the kitchen and brought to our table 5 minute later with the wrong side. Brought out the correct side which had no sauce on one set of wings that you pay extra for, no seasoning on the fries on either entree order. Then proceeds to claim the sauce soaked into the chicken. The chicken finger where dry. Instead of correcting the bring out a side of sauce. Poor service and aside from the appetizer the rest was no good.

First time eating here. Seems it’s really hard to find good wings these days. I ordered five different flavors and the wings we’re mediocre, asked for extra crispy and they are squishy and I ordered house made chips and they were soggy (uncooked) Also I asked for blue cheese crumbles and did not receive this. I waited 40 minutes for my order that I called in. Probably won’t be going here again unfortunately. Definitely not worth the $51.

The cook gets 0 stars on 6/24/23 around 8:20pm. Raw chicken and huge wings. I requested extra crispy. The cook cooked my wings for what must’ve been 5 min. Guess trying to be a smart a– or just dumb and doesn’t know what extra crispy is. Do better or don’t clock in. The cashier gets 4 stars. I’ve been here b4 and the wings were cooked like I asked. Great spot to stop in and grab some wings, they have a variety of flavors and sauces. Or you can get tenders tossed in any sauce! The service is top notch, friendly waitresses that are great at explaining the menu and quick and attentive when you need something. The sports bar vibe is nice if you’re trying to catch the game while out to dinner, can be crowded during peak hours so plan to get there a little early! Definitely recommend though.

They allow the “regular” customers to run the new customers off by disrespecting, name calling in the air – this is the 2nd incident that has occurred. I will never step foot in this establishment again. Hate it as the food and service has always been great!
