Strong hit or miss spot… the 3.7 average rating is accurate.
Their crispy pork belly is the best i tried in Houston. Also the duck is close to perfect – very juicy and tender. Would come back for those (only!)
The flat noodle beef was good – awesome wok hei.
However, their chicken was the driest I had in a while… Also the home made chili paste was not good at all. Strong unappetizing flavor. And the HK style coffee milk tea was just ok…watered down flavor.
The atmosphere is nothing special.
The service very friendly though!

This place has been more of a hit than a miss. If you want decent service, I recommend coming right when they open. Once the crowd starts coming in, the service attitude definitely matches what others have mentioned in past reviews. The food is consistently good, but don’t count on the service. In life, you give and take and here, you’re mostly coming for the food.

Bad services. It was my first time here. I see they have good reviews that why I stop by. They should have a sign outside saying that we only take order on phone. I was waiting in line for 20 minutes to buy roast pork. I understand its holiday day. They keep saying no call no more. But I see they other customer come up asking for 3 lbs and she knob her head for her. Not good business. She should treat everyone the same. People services is rude as well. I will never come back!

Authentic Flavors, No Frills If you are looking for the best roast pork belly in town, this is the spot. The duck and tofu dishes are also standout options that shouldn’t be missed. Keep in mind that this is a typical Chinese dining environment—the service is functional and direct, so don’t expect a formal English-speaking staff or “smiley face” hospitality. Go for the food, and you won’t be disappointed!

A hole in the wall authentic Chinese spot that takes cooking to a whole new level. Located in the former Vibe plaza this spot is refreshing gem that really puts quality cooking and flavors on the map. Best part of all the cost is super friendly. Has to be that way due to the intense completion on the Bellaire/Chinatown Chinese food front. Every time we come here there’s not a bad dish, not a bad flavor. Apologies for the 1/2 eaten food pics as the some of the people were unable to control their appetites before my photos

It’s a little restaurant on Wilcrest just south of Bellaire. We ordered a combo of roasted pork 燒腩仔 and roasted duck 燒鴨 and it was delicious especially the crispy skin of the roasted pork (just love it)!! We also had the deep fried frog 酥炸田雞 that was great! And a veg dish of braised tofu 冬菇豆腐with black mushrooms! All good.

First time at Wing Kee. Been meaning to eat here sooner because of a local fb group (Asian Eats) constantly posting. I was really impressed. Service was incredibly good for a Chinatown restaurant. The servers were very polite and even offered recommendations. I definitely did not expect this. I enjoyed all the dishes and highlights are the roast duck and BBQ pork. Best roast duck I’ve ever had! So juicy and full of flavor!!

My review is based on one item….roasted pork ($11.99-12.99/lb).
It’s pretty great. Look at the golden brown of crunchiness. Solid meat but it’s about the crispness. So good. So nice.
I didn’t order anything else so yes, 5-star for one item. And if you do take out, you need to PRE ORDER the roasted pork. Luckily they had extra so I picked up 3lbs and made the people happy.

If you like Roast pork, this is definitely the go-to place. The meat is juicy and tender and the skin is extremely crispy. Kudos to the chef. The next time I am there, I will try to bribe the wife to get the recipe.
Roast duck was another excellent dish. Has some sweetness to the saltiness. Somehow, Cantonese has a knack for roasting.
The Fried Rice was ok…it lack the wok taste.
The vegetable Tofu with mushroom was recommended by the server, who I suspect could be the wife. She was extremely helpful and pleasant. We love it as we have a mixture of different type of greens.
If you are looking for a date night with romantic ambiance…this is not the place, but if you want to impress your date, especially one who knows about Cantonese cuisine, this is The Place. Order the Roast pork and duck, and she will fall head over heels for you!!!
